you don't go into a tackle cleats up, and the ref had a clear view of the tackle. He saw cole going in with open studs, you do that, and you get a red card. There is no tolerance for cleats up, so all in all it wasn't that bad of a red

Milner to City for 26 million.
Ireland to Villa for 8 million.
  • Laley23
Thats a hefty price for James Milner. City is just ridiculously skewing the transfer market.

Yea have to agree theres simply just no tolerance anymore for cleats up tackles due to the growing number of horrific leg breaks that've happened over the past few seasons.

Transfers for thriving young English internationals are always going to be overpriced. But can't agree more that Shity keep on inflating the market.

City had to overpay. Villa didn't want to let him go and Milner put a 48 hour window on it. They had no choice.

Regardless, it was a stupid challenge in the first place.

I can't believe City shelled out that much from Milner. Hell f'n Steve Cherundolo was eating him up.
  • Sage
Milner is a boss though and he's only going to get better. I do agree the price-tag was a bit high for him, but down the road some day? Definitely not at all. Milner was bought for like $12 million from Newcastle and Villa fans flipped about the price then.

Some clubs aren't paying just for the player now, it's who they see that player developing into. Milner will be worth every penny, assuming he gets his playing time at Citeh.

I'm not complaining. Villa will never be a transfer giant.

yes sir, hence the red card

Not buy him was a decent option. He is good but not at that price.

This transfer is like 10 million pounds away from what Barcelona paid for David Villa. Milner is not in the same galaxy as Villa, yet the fees show otherwise.

City is showing that they are committed to putting a winner on the pitch.

definitely ambitious, but you can't fault the intention.

Frankly, the ability to challenge the big 4 will only be good for the Premier League in the long run.

Dumb asses like you and Auto love putting words in other peoples mouths. I never said Italy would win the WC. You're ignorant for thinking Liverpool has a shred of the depth and talent of United and Chelsea have.......NOT CLOSE!

WOW, you're sad! Keep posting lies pal, it's all you have.

Hey guys other than Mr. "I'm so blinded, I thought Italy was going to rock shit and kept talking shit until they got bounced pathetically" does anyone else think Liverpool doesn't come close at all to Man U or Chelsea?

It would appear to some (me) that you're merely looking at their 7th place finish last year and not at the actual talent on the team.

^^^ I think the EPL is as open as at has been in awhile...

Chelsea, Man U, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and even Villa and possibly Spurs I think are top of the table material....
any of those could secure a top four spot, imo.

heck, even Blackpool leads at this point.....wink wink.

and if Rock wants to backpedal from his blatant and obnoxious Azzuri boosterism....hmmmm......we all know how it really went down, now don't we.

So you didn't say Italy would dominate their group? lmao......riiight.

Its wayyy too early to tell how the EPL will pan out. I think Liverpools starting 11 can hang with United and Chelsea.....but they lack the depth.

My super early top 4 prediction:

    Chelsea
    Manchester United
    Arsenal
    Man City

liverpool needs to go to a 3-4-3 they need to get some more attack. I Give the edge to Chels because while they might be old they still got Droga and Man U is just as talented and when rooney gets hot its gonna be hard to beat them not to mention they have hernandez coming off the bench. Arensel needs a keeper. Man City needs to learn to play together.

Nice spin. Yeah I said that but you now conveniently leave out that I said Italy would win the tournament, a statement I NEVER made. You're a fucking loser!
  • rock_knutne
Liverpool and City fans shouldn't get their hopes up........it's a two horse race. ManU has motivation to pass Liverpool in regards of most English league titles.

As for talent and depth.......Liverpool may lose Kuyt to Inter Milan.

Who's backpedaling? You're another one who likes to post blatant lies!

Where were you guys at when I offered to bet on Italy in the WC?

big week for the ol' "Killdeer United" in the fantasy league.....
a goal barrage with a hat trick for Wolcott, and 2 each for Anelka and Kalou.......sweet!....maybe get a little closer to top of the table.

In real life, Wigan has to be feeling pretty desparate after that drubbing by Chelsea after last weeks handling by Blackpool. 0 goals for and 10 against has to have you stunned after first two weeks.

Chelsea look like an absolute buzz-saw at this point.

Ohhhh does the sports guru need a tissue? lmao.

My apologies....YOU DID NOT SAY THEY WOULD WIN THE WC. But my second statement was true and absolutely hilarious. Hahahahahaaaaa

Loser? Who is the one resorting to childish name calling?

I missed the Arsenal game today. Not surprised that they won....just that they scored 6. I lost my streak because I chose that they wouldn't win by more than 3. I know Blackpool was recently promoted, but I didn't think they would get waxed like that.
  • CinciX12
    I'll take a +12 goal diff after 2 weeks.
