  John Daly has mounted an early charge and is -4 under through 8 holes. He did win there in 1995, and it would be awesome to see him be a factor this week.

  Daly just knocked it close on 11 and has about 6 feet for birdie. He is playing out of his mind right now, and I hope he can keep it up.

  Unreal start by JD. Tiger is hitting the ball pretty well, just needs to get that new flat stick working and he'll be fine.

  Daly just drove it about 340 and is just off the green at the par 4 12th. He is well positioned to make another birdy to get to -8.
  
  63 is the score ever recorded in a major, and that could be in jeopardy the way Daly is playing right now.

  Just missed a 5 footer for birdie at 12. Have to hope the wheels don't start coming off because it doesn't take much to throw a guy like him out of kilter.

  Haha JD is awesome. My favorite golfer. Glad to see him doing well hopefully he can keep this up. Would be awesome to see a Tiger/JD final pairing and have JD win it.

  I would looooove to see a showdown between him and Tiger down the stretch, I think it would serve as a pre-cursor to the back and forth the two will likely have in years to come.
