2010 Open Championship at St. Andrews

That -12 Oosthuizen posted is going to look awful good I suspect by the end of the day if the weather keeps up. The wind is really starting to blow, and I just don't see anyone posting a 65 or 66 in the afternoon.

Play suspended by high winds. LOL

Sobels live chat he has going is hilarious on ESPN.com right now. The -12 will look good but you have to wonder going into tomorrow if he'll give any back should conditions stay like this the rest of the week

Play has been ready to resume for 10 minutes except for Sean O'Hair was missing. He just appeared and the horn has sounded to restart play.

Bogey on 1 for el tigre

Well of course he would give some back. If he is 4 or 5 clear of the field though and everyone is playing in the same crap this weekend it is still a nice spot to be.

The next highest score posted in the clubhouse is Calc at -7, and I would not be the least bit surprised if that gets him in the final pairing tomorrow.

We are seeing a ton of bunching at -4,5,6, and then McIlroy is back to -8 and Calc in the clubhouse at -7.

I doubt that Oosthuizen wins, but he will have a much better shot being 6 to 8 shots clear of a majority of the field than he would have had everyone been bunched together and he only lead by like 1.

Balls on the greens of #7 and #11 were blowing out of place after they were placed to putt. Tiger was on the first hole when play was suspended.

You're retarded dude..your hatred for Tiger is weird.

He bogeyed the 2 holes after the delay, so there goes your little theory.

I don't remember who it was on #7 but he marked/replaced his ball literally 5 or 6 times. Each time he took his coin away the ball started to oscillate.

McIlroy is back to -6 now.

Calc and Oosthuizen will probably be the final pairing tomorrow.

The weather can't change in an hour? Are you sure you live in Ohio?

Well, playing in the rain this morning was definitely a huge advantage. At least we won't have to hear Phil whine anymore. Tom Lehman FTW!

Wind was blowing damn near 50 sustained and the greens could not hold the balls. When you marked your ball (assuming it ever stopped) and reset it, it would roll away on its own as soon as it was placed.

In that hour, the winds came back down to 30-35 sustained, and the balls were able to hold (though it was still miserable).

    69, 69, 67, 68, 67, 68, 65, 69, 63

I would looooove to see a showdown between him and Tiger down the stretch, I think it would serve as a pre-cursor to the back and forth the two will likely have in years to come.

still no rounds in the 70s after today

Tiger just Happy Gilmore'd his drive right by the hole on the par 4 18th....inches from hitting the flag

How out of place does Oosthuizen's -12 look right now when you look at that leaderboard?

65 was an amazing score in the conditions yesterday afternoon, and his 67 this morning is tied for low round of the day.

If the wind is blowing in the afternoon someone in the morning would do well to try and post 4-5 under and just wait as the field comes back for Sunday.

It's all on Oosthuizen in terms of whether this tournament will be competitive this weekend or not because no one is catching him at -12. However the chances he avoids pissing down his leg and stays there are slim and none.

    -8 wins it

I was there today until about 7 PM. The wind was UNREAL. When they called play we talked to the R&A guy near us and he said play was called due to 10 different reports of balls moving on greens on holes 8-15 deep on the course. Anyone who shot around par in the afternoon is a god. Gusts were to mid 40s, I could barely stand up most of the time.

Dude on top of the board had the easiest weather this morning, we will see how he handles the pressure of tomorrow. Great day on the course!

I will be there by 8 tomorrow.

what do you want? winning score?

Didn't get to watch much of The Open today, but it looks like the guys in the afternoon wave definitely caught a tough break with the wind. It'll be interesting to see if Oosthuizen can hang onto that lead. I'm guessing he definitely comes back to the pack tomorrow. Winning score, as other have said, will probably end up being around -7 or -8, which means that a lot of guys are still in contention.

Tiger even with his rough relationship with Watson was very thoughtful and classy as he allowed Watson's group to go ahead and tee off #18 before they putted on #18....had Tiger not waved them on to do so...Watson would've had to do his last walk up on #18 at St Andrews at 6:30 in the morning....man I wish Watson's eagle shot would've fell.
