Worst fan bases in sports are bandwagon fans..and just love for us Cleveland fans!

    MLB - Cincinnati Reds
    NFL - Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Football - Ohio State Buckeyes
    NCAA Basketball - Cincinnati Bearcats
    NHL - Detroit Red Wings

Those are the teams I have rooted for since I was a wee lad. As far as the NBA goes, I don't root for any team (I sure as hell didn't jump aboard the Cleveland bandwagon when LeBron was drafted,) just people who are Bearcat alums (Kenyon Martin/Jason Maxiell/Lance Stephenson).

I currently live in Stow ohio and it takes me about the same time to go to either Cbus or AA so I think I am aloud to root for michigan. Have you ever been to Toledo? most of the people in Toledo are Michigan fans. If I wanted attention I would constantly make fun of OSU fans for no real reason during the middle of the summer. But Since your the one calling me out, maybe you are the attention whore.

HOWEVER, to say people are not fans of a player is foolish. I know people who are fans of players and players only.. Whether it be in the NFL or NBA, I know a couple people who choose to follow players only..

Hell, we had a poster on here who was a self anointed LeBron fan. During the Celtics series all of us Cavs fan were flipping out on LeBron because it looked like he quit (come to find out he really did) and SQ was always there to defend LeBron and called us stupid and everything else..

Well, he's no longer here. Obviously he was wrong about LeBron. I'm sure he's now going to be a Heat fan though.

Well I was talking about local people. I like watching Kobe but I am not going to fly to LA to see him play. What I am saying is the majority of the fans are Cavs fans first and Lebron second. If they continue to win there won't be a problem.

Bullshit. All Michigan fans who grew up and live in Ohio are attention whores and it is that simple

LMAO. Soooo..we like a different team than you...so we are attention whores? Yep, makes perfect sense.

    Smh.

I don't know if I'd call Michigan fans attention whores, I mean, if getting your ass beat by the Bucks EVERY year is the kind of attention you like....well.

Plus, I like 'Morons' better than 'Attention Whores'.

about just as much sense as being a Michigan fan living in Ohio

We had our years, your having yours. It all comes back full circle, eventually. There will be a time when Michigan is owning the Bucks every year again too there sunshine.

Or about as much sense as someone giving a rats ass about what team someone else likes.

#1, Don't hold your breath that it's gonna happen any time soon.

#2, or about as much sense as someone wanting Iraq to win the war.

Will probably happen quicker than Massillon finally winning it's first championship.

It is really hard for me my parents were both born in Pennsylvania.....But my father was raised in Penn Hills which is just outside of Pittsburgh......and my mom lived in Chestnut Hill just outside of Philly. So I got to root for some good teams growing up....Mom was all Philly and Dad was all Pittsburgh and still are....

Growing up my dad always bought me Steelers and Penguins things but I fell in love with the Philly Fanatic....

Thank god my parents met at The Ohio State University.....and both are diehard Buckeyes for life......

All College Sports: The Ohio State University
    NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
    NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
    MLB: Philadelphia Phillies
    NBA: Philadelphia 76ers

I have always found the "I am a better, more knowledgeable more dedicate fan because I only cheer for the local teams. And you know nothing about sports because you cheer on a team from somewhere else" argument very amusing

With that being said, I did see a lot more Bengals fans last season than I have ever seen before. You know lifetime fans who never heard of Kenny Anderson, or even Icky Woods.
  • BigAppleBuckeye
I think fans form an allegiance to their favorite teams based on SOME experience from their past. Maybe it was because they were the local team, and their games were always on local TV. Maybe Dad was from L.A., took a job in Cincinnati, and raised his kid a Lakers fan. Or maybe mom took you to the mall, where you first saw the Yankee pinstriped jersey, and you were hooked. Weird how it works out, and I rarely question fans' allegiance ... BUT, I hate when fans switch teams. Those aren't fans, those are essentially stock traders (or traitors, if you will).

Now I'm taking shit on the HS level from a bandwagon jumper, ouch, this hurts.

And yes, with the shady dealings RR puts together and the 80 hrs of practice a week, you may be right.

    "Better"? Maybe.
"More knowledgable"? Never heard that one.
"More dedicated"? You bet your ass.
"You know nothing about sports because you cheer for a team from somewhere else"? Get real, you expect us to believe you have ever heard this one?

It was a joke princess, you can untwist your panties anytime. :p Nothing bandwagon about it. A bandwagon fan is someone that jumps from winning team to winning team. So...yeah...so much for that idea, considering I've had the same teams all my life.

"Better"? Maybe in your mind, so we can all take that for what it's worth. Doesn't make you a better sports fan at all.
"More dedicated"? Not at all, you're an idiot if you think that. I root for my teams just as hard as you root for yours!

Most likely I'll be living outside of Ohio when I decide to finally settle down, but you can bet your ass my kids will grow up rooting for Cleveland sports if I have anything to do with it.

According to another thread, you claim to have jumped from the Hornets to the Heat. Contradictory much?

Eh, not when your sole purpose is to be an asshole. I'll pass. I try to have intelligent conversations every now and then. It's looking like that's becoming impossible with you.

What do they average 15k a game pretty pathetic. They have been dropping in attendance for a good bit surprised they are still in Florida to be honest.
