LeBron to Miami rumors.

Many people that know the game more than any of us had the Cavs as the favorites to win the league last year, now all of a sudden they dont have any talent? Come on. Its not as if the Cavs are stuck with this roster. That had the pieces to bring in a guy like Bosh but Bosh didnt want any part of it. Obviously they are good enough to add some talent around him.
No shit and who was it who gagged on the big one more than anyone in that Boston series? Lebron. -
Al Bundyjpake1;415724 wrote:I'm not exactly sure who they're talking too, been pretty quiet with those guys, but I imagine Chalmers and Anthony may round out the starting lineup. They could target Arroyo and White Chocolate at backup PG's (both were solid backup PG's last year). They would have Raja Bell in the bag, which he would be a real nice backup SG. It seems like Iverson is open to any team with any pay. SF would be the hardest spot to find, but maybe TMac takes the min or get somebody like Devon George, then round it out with Butler who they just drafted. At PF they could target Tim Thomas or Joe Smith and round out with Varnado who they just drafted. At C they could target Z, Wallace, Magloire, and a lot of other guys, then have Pittman sit the pin. They'll be able to find a solid 8-9 man rotation. It won't be a good bench, but it'll be decent, and that might be all they need.
I still don't seeing that roster being as good as the Lakers, and a healthy Celtics team would give them a battle. -

But the point is that we all thought LeBron James was the second coming of Jordan and this will prove that he's the second coming of Pippen (nothing wrong with that since Pippen is still considered a great player and is a multiple time champion.) Kobe's rings are different. Sure he one 3 when he was the 2nd guy but he's also won 2 as THE guy. He will NEVER be THE guy in Miami. More power to him if he's willing to accept that he's not that kind of player and just get a championship but it alters the perception of what type of player he is since high school. Give me a break on this "dream team" stuff, it WILL be Wade and LeBrosh. Just like it was Bird and McHale/Parish....just like it was Magic and Kareem/Worthy.....just like it was Jordan and Pippen/Rodm
Like I said, if LeBron realizes he can't be "the guy" on a championship team that's ok, he wouldn't be the first. But going to Miami means he will never be in that Jordan/Bird/Magic/Russell/Kobe class that everyone thought he was destined for.
Agreed! -
thedynasty1998As far as whose team it is, that's why I said I didn't think they could play together. One of them has to be the leading scorer, and whoever that person is, is the guy. But it's just dumb to compare Lebron to Pippen.

elbuckeye28krazie45;415691 wrote:No matter how Jpake might try to spin this, LeBron going to Miami tells everyone he is not a player that can lead a champion. In Miami he is Robin, plain and simple. That's Wade's city, Wade's county, Wade's state, and Wade's team. He will always be remembered as Wade's Pippen and Wade will always have 1 more title than him.
If that's the case than that's fine, but it tells all of use that LeBron James wasn't the player that everyone thought he was.
So because D-Wade is a more desirable location, Lebron is less of a player? Isn't D-Wade lucky that he is in Miami where players would rather go? Isn't Kobe lucky he is in LA and Ron Artest would rather play there instead of Cleveland? There are reasons that Cleveland(although I enjoy the city) is voted one of the worst cities in the country. The economy is weak, the weather sucks, the population is diminishing, taxes aren't as great, and these players see this. -
captvernHow can Lebron go from being the best player in the world to the second best player in Miami

No it's not. Talent-wise Lebron is a much better player than Pippen but he WILL be second fiddle to Wade in Wade's city just like Pippen played second fiddle to MJ. -

They're pretty far off. Those last fews steps are the hardest. They'd still be a top 6 team, I don't question that. It's just they aren't close IMO. Winning 2-3 games in the Finals tells me you're close... when you can't even get there, well boys, back to the drawing board. I havn't forgotten, I'm one of the most vocal about LBJ having bad opinions on bringing in players. He's as much to blame as Ferry. I'm not really worried about what the "experts" tell me; my nba preditions the past two years went just fine NOT listening to them. I'm not saying they don't have talent, so way to take that to the very edge. They just aren't close to a ring IMO. Without LBJ, they still might be a 8 seed. And why do people keep bringing up Bosh. You had pieces Toronto liked, but you DIDN"T get it done. He NEVER wanted to come to Cleveland. Did you guys or your inside sources want to hear it? Hell no. If they're good enough to add talent around him, they might want to start hitting the phones harder, time is running out.KR1245;415723 wrote:How far off are the Cavs? Because Kobe is the best player in the world followed by D-Wade followed by Lebron, hence making him the 2nd best player in Miami. Did i go too fast for you? -

Cavs fans, that's how smh. They are fickle. A few days ago Bosh was great and the guy on everybody's wish list. Now he sucks and can't play defense -
BR1986FBthedynasty1998;415748 wrote:You are wrong and just being a hater.
WTF with this "hater" shit? Like this is something new that I came up with? Analysts have been talking about this for awhile since the prospect of Wade, Bosh & LBJ playing together. It's WADE'S town. HE won a championship and Lebron is coming to HIM. Lebron wasn't good enough to get it done in Cleveland so Lebron has to join this group and take the easy way out. He's showing that he's a quitter and he doesn't have the "it" that Jordan had. -

And he can't. That's been a knock on him. One dimensional, offensive player. -
thedynasty1998If that helps you sleep at night, fine. Not sure why you wanted him to stay in Cleveland in the first place then?
Wade hasn't done anything without Shaq. -

Never heard that once until he said he didn't want to play in Cleveland. The majority of the threads were complimentary of him. -

It's really annoying. During baseball season when Lebron had on his Yankees hat, people wanted him out of Cleveland. Now that he might leave these same people are going to hate him when he does. Whether he leaves or stays, Cleveland, a very irrelevant city, became relevant for seven years just because he was on their team. -

Maybe not from people who wanted him on here but that has been a knock on him. Don't get me wrong, he's a VERY good offensive player. He just doesn't play defense very well. -
elbuckeye28BR1986FB;415763 wrote:And he can't. That's been a knock on him. One dimensional, offensive player.
O come on. It was a knock on him early in his career, but I remember people on the old huddle wanting him to be the defensive player of the year two years back. -
captvernyour head hurts if you think Kobe or Dwade is better then Lebron. Lebron is the best all around player in the world no matter where he plays. Cavs fans are being ridiculous. It might be Wades town but it will be Lebrons team. If Wade avg 24/5/4 and Lebron avg 27/8/7 how is it not Lebrons team?

Tonight we may very well see the death of "King James" and the birth of LeBron James.....great player but not in the Level 1 Pantheon of NBA legends.
Give me a fucking break about the best regular season record stuff. You sound like SQ. They didn't make it to the big dance, they didn't COMPETE for that ring-- Boston and LA did. Boston had the 4th best regular season record.. does that mean they didn't compete for a title? This is the NBA, where "what you did in the regular season doesn't mean shit" happens. That wasn't a team that wasn't capable of winning a championship the past two years. They got smacked around 4-2 on their HOME COURT and couldn't make it to the finals. Deal with it, or make excuses. It wasn't a championship caliber team, it was a PRETENDER. Truth hurts, huh? Why is my opinion biased, and what exactly is my opinion? That I don't see LBJ as a pussy if he leaves for better opportunity? The cameras will shine brightly on LBJ, more so than DWade. That's just how it is, and that is something Wade is very accustomed to. He's always been put on the back burner. He just continues to play. -

Exactly. I mean even with the big 3, I think by the end of the year the Celtics had become Rondo's team more than the other 3. -

While I agree he probably didn't deserve defensive player of the year, he was voted in as First team all defense the last two years. Although these teams aren't always accurate, it shows that he is not this bad defender that you are talking about.
