  • Trueblue23
Fuck it, might as well start talking about this bitch now, Game 6 is basically over with.

    Predictions? Keys to the game?

    Don't jinx it you bastard!!!

    lol
  • Trueblue23
Haha I'm not jinxing it, I'm just ready to talk about it!

    My prediction?

All players from both teams admit to being gay.

Perkins is apparently out for sure I think I heard on the tv.

I can't see the Celtics laying an egg 2 games in a row, but man is it hard to see L.A losing game 7 on their home floor. If anybody can win a road game 7 it is them, but it is an awfully tall order it would seem at this point.

Why is Perkins out? Did he get another T?

I haven't been able to watch any of the game.
  • wildcats20
I really think Perk might have tore his ACL. The way he immediately grabbed the knee and then almost making out with the trainer.

In all seriousness though, I hope he's alright.

Landed awkwardly and his left(?) knee buckled real bad. Grabbed it immediately and was helped off the floor. Hasn't even been back to the bench yet.

If he's out, LA wins Game 7 easily.

    Lakers.
  • Trueblue23
This is EASILY the biggest NBA game in the past 10 years.
  • wildcats20
This series was over as soon as the Lakers went up 20 in game 6, IMO.

Don't count the cagey vets from Beantown out just yet. Unless you have been doing that since the play offs started.

Cograts to all of you who were correct in predicting a seven game series.
The NBA two to franchises are giving the fans what the two best franchises should and that is a great series

To the few Boston fans on here good luck to you it has been fun and win or lose I have nothing but respect for the Celtics and their fans. Class all the way.

Boston is(most likely, at least nowhere near 100%) going to be without Perk. He is an emotional leader and all heart, they lost him tonight and withered away.

Class all the way, but I don't respect 99% of the Boston fans. OSU dude is cool though.

Anyone that roots for Boston or L.A. and is not living in the immediate vicinity, nor has ever lived nearby, simply does not have a soul. Can both teams lose this game, because that is what I'm rooting for?

This will be a legacy defining game for Kobe.

He is going to end this game as either a 5 time champion looking for a 3 peat and MJ tying 6th title next year.

Or he is going to be the guy who could never will his team over the hump to beat the Boston Celtics in the finals, which if you are looking to establish yourself as the best Laker of all-time means alot.

Where he ends up historically will in large part be determined by how Thursday night goes. The conversation about his career will be much different depending on which way it goes.

if perk is out the lakers will def win
  • Trueblue23
Perk has a sprained MCL and PCL
  • wes_mantooth
Sadly, I have not watched more than 2 mins of any of these games....this is the first time ever that I have absolutely no interest in the NBA finals.
  • trackandccrunner
I think the Lakers will win by 8. Kobe goes for 32, 11, 10 and is named Finals MVP.

It's going to be tough for the Celtics, and I'm on the fence of predicting a classic game or a total stinker. One or the other.

Perk being out is rough because the Celtics will miss his defense (and they don't have an interior defender as good as him), but at the same time, Bynum will be playing his third game in five days with a cross-country flight in there. He'll be limited, as he has been throughout the series.

The game will come down to KG being able to contain Gasol, and the Celtics bench players (Wallace/Davis/Robinson .... SCALABRINE) putting in quality minutes on the floor. Not game-four quality minutes, but generally good minutes. IF the Celtics can do that, I like the chances for a classic game. If not, I'm leaning toward stinker.

Regardless, it has been a fun and decidedly unexpected run through the postseason for the C's. Even the hardcore folks weren't calling this at the start of the playoffs, but to see some of that 2008 magic back has been great.

I predicted a 7 game series prior to, and look at me, I was right!

I still think that LA is the better team, and just don't see any way that they lose game 7 on their home court. Last night before the game I was talking to my dad and said, Lakers win by 20 tonight, and he said, "No way." Well guess who was right?

I see the Lakers winning comfortably in game 7 (10-12 points). I think Kobe plays an almost identical game where he comes out and establishes himself and his teammates play well following his lead.

It's been a great series and I hate to see it end, but this really has been an enjoyable series to watch and if it was a series of 15 games, I would think it goes to game 15.
