who should I bet on ?

    OR

^^ Odds would say Chicago but who knows. Last time the Flyers were in the Finals they were heavy favorites over the Red Wings and Detroit blasted them so things could certainly be in reverse this time around with the Hawks being the odds on favorite right now.

Chicago takes game 1 3-2 in OT

I say they split in Chicago, go back the Philly 1-1.

    Phlyers in 7.

Strap On, you're just showing your hockey ignorance.

    Go Flyers!

What a game, back n forth, great moves. 5-5 late 2nd period.

    Who needs goaltending?

Sloppy play on both sides. Crazy game.

    Chicago 6-5

What a great game to watch if you like goal scoring.
Back and forth, two breakaways, crazy rebounds, and great passing. I was impressed by the Flyers offense last night.

Still, knew Chicago would find a way to win. I expect them to win game 2 as well.
    Fun game.

Just from seeing the highlights, bad defensive breakdowns on both sides and poor goaltending throughout the game. Some nice plays in there as well but very sloppy. You could tell it was the first game in the Finals for these teams and a bunch of their players. Certainly expect it to be better in Game 2 with fewer turnovers and better goaltending.

Who do the Flyers start in game 2? I never thought I would see a 6-5 game in the Finals but it was good for the sport imo.
  • End of Line
6-5??? I didn't know that these two teams wanted to play 80's style hockey.

From the highlights I saw, the Defense for both teams was sloppy as well as the goalies. I expect Chicago to win game 2.

I never realized how many times the term "ricochet" is used by Mike Emrick (NBC's head announcer) until the beginning of this series.

    A much better game tonight.

That was an insane last 2 minutes or so...crazy

    How about "DRIVE!!!!!!!!"....

Much better game than Game 1. Flyers had a lot of good looks at the end of the game and couldn't get one past Niemi. Might go a game more than I originally thought but Hawks in 5 remains my pick.

This is a season for someone who generally doesn't get to this game to have their fifteen minutes of fame. Both teams have withstood the challenges from the teams that usually surpass them and now either Chicago or Philly will claim that elusive Cup. Congratulations to both teams for advancing to this series. I think Chicago has the better team but game three will be the deciding factor. Obviously, if the Hawks take game three, the series is over. I just don't think Philly is good enough to sweep four under any circumstances. If however, the Flyers find a way to take game three, then we have a series and nothing is certain.

Great game. Just as exciting as game 1, even more so the last few minutes. The Flyers had all the chances in the world, but all their shots were blocked, gobbled up, or went went wide. They could not catch a break. Niemi made some awesome saves down the stretch.

Game 3 Wed night in Philly, I have a feeling the Flyers pull that one out.

The announcer sounded like a mad auctioneer the last couple minutes. That was a great battle won by Chicago holding their ground vs Philly's all out assault.
