wildcats20Well according to this...http://goduke.statsgeek.com/basketball-m/nba/
They have 4 NBA/ABA Champions. But of course doesn't list who lol -
osu45804DON'T TELL ME THE NBA OFFICIALS ARE NOT TOLD HOW TO OFFICIATE CERTAIN GAMES.... CANT TELL ME DIFFERENT!!! THIS GAME WAS PROOF OF THAT... THAT WAS NO 21 POINT GAME
-
trackandccrunnerI bet the other 3 are all from the ABA. Im like 95% that Ferry is the only Dukie to have an NBA title because its what a lot of UNC fans like to poke fun at us Duke fans about. Maybe tomorrow I'll go look up all the NBA champion teams and find out for sure but Im not worrying about it tonight.
-
wildcats20Yeah I'm not really trying to start anything at all. I just couldn't for the life of me remember who. And I'm pretty sure you're right it's only Ferry. No biggie. He was one hell of a college player that's for sure.
-
trackandccrunnerHaha I know your not and I wouldn't even care if you were its always fun to have a Duke/UNC discussion lol. Agreed he was an amazing college player he's my 3rd favorite Dukie of all time.

I'm NOT one to use foul discrepancy as a means to say a game was evenly officiated because that rarely tells the whole story but it's part of it. Boston had 30, the Magic had 24. So that isn't that out of whack. And I didn't watch the game, so I don't know exactly what happened but looking at the box score, it looks like a 21 point game to me. Boston got killed on the boards, the Magic made 52% of their 3's and nearly doubled the amount that Boston made. And Boston only shot 43%. That doesn't happen because of officiating. Just sounds looks like an off night from the C's if you ask me. But again, I didn't watch the game, so I'm not totally sure what happened. But I just generally disagree that the officials have marching orders from the league to make certain things happen. In the game of basketball, it isn't that easy--I feel like it would stand out BIG TIME and it wouldn't even be debatable if they were doing it. People always want to blame the officials for their team playing poorly and they do make bad calls. BUT, they have a tough job--they get one look at full speed and have to make a quick call. And the bad ones just stand out, but they're usually pretty even both ways (USUALLY)--however, they still get a vast majority of the calls right.osu45804 wrote: DON'T TELL ME THE NBA OFFICIALS ARE NOT TOLD HOW TO OFFICIATE CERTAIN GAMES.... osu45804It's just when Joey Crawford & Eddie Rush made the game about themselves and got caught up in the moment there was no chance in hell in Boston winning this game...

SQ_CraziesWill never argue that there aren't a handful of officials that do that bullshit, and it is bullshit. Pisses me off too. But based on the box score it just didn't look like Boston had it tonight--but that's why they play a 7 game series. And again, I didn't watch so I'm not saying I'm an authority on what happened in this game.
