Ohio Cup, Game 1: Redlegs vs. Tribe

I'm honestly not sure why CoCo is in the game anyway? A 4 run lead, I would have brought in Arty.

Crowe singles to left scoring 2.
  • wildcats20
    CoCo has thrown 30+ pitches....
  • wildcats20
But he gets Choo looking, 2 down.

Kearns up with the tying runs at first and third.
  • wildcats20
Kearns pops out to right and this one belongs to the Reds. CoCo better NOT be available tomorrow.

    First place again.

Cordero and Masset out of commission for tomorrow. Very important for Bailey to pitch long and well.
  • wildcats20
At least Herrera pitched well, maybe he can provide some help tomorrow if needed. Arty also did go tonight, so he'll for sure(maybe? lol) be used tomorrow if needed.

Cueto gets the win, improving to 4-1. He also pitched great again, love seeing this.

Owings will most likely see time if Bailey doesn't have his command. He's pitched once in like 17 days. Hopefully Lincoln, Owings, Fisher, Herrera and Rhodes are enough. Bailey has to go 6.

Tribe on pace to lose 104 games this year.
  • wildcats20
Micah threw tonight. 1 inning, 12 pitches. He is for sure the go to guy tomorrow if Homer gets in trouble.
  • Azubuike24
Yeah, I don't think he's pitched in a long time that I remember though.
  • wildcats20
Obviously, I didn't watch; but why in the hell was Cueto not sent back out there in the 7th?? He only threw 93 pitches.
  • Azubuike24
Nvm, I guess he did get in the other night against Atlanta.
  • Laley23
You could throw out your bat boy and it would be enough against the Tribe...I wouldnt worry guys lol.

Plus, if Bailey doesnt have control that will result in a ton of Ks. Have you seen the Indians? They swing at everything BUT strikes.

Owings pitched the 19th against Atlanta. Before that it had been 12 days, on the 7th against the Cubbies in the 14-7 loss.

No clue, but for once if Dusty goes cautious with a young arm, I'm okay with it :)

    1 inning, 5 pitches lol

Would be interesting to see if Dusty would let Owings close a game?

He doesn't have closer stuff, but what he has is better than Lincoln. Makes me wish we had Stormy Weathers back for a weekend so he could work the 9th. Sure as hell couldn't be less adventurous than Coco

Anyone know why the hell I couldnt watch the game tonight?

Good to get another win tonight though that we were supposed to get. These are the wins late in the season you should look back on and expect to get.

Cueto had a blister forming. I was at the game, baker came out and they looked at it and talked but cueto stayed in and finished the inning. Then he was out. They said he will still make his next start.
  • wildcats20
Cinci you couldn't watch the game because FOX gets a national game on Saturdays which is usually on at 4 but since the UEFA game was on they moved the game the FOX game to 7. MLB only allows one game on TV at that time and everything else is blacked out

Thank you. Hope it doesn't turn into anything more than that. Cueto is pitching great right now
