Ohio Cup, Game 1: Redlegs vs. Tribe
-
Mooney44CardsThe Reds are coming off two BAD BAD BAD losses in Atlanta, which I imagine they are glad they don't have to go THERE the rest of the season. They look to keep pace in the Central after dropping out of first place with yesterday's loss.
The Tribe......well.....its been a BAD BAD BAD 2010 so far, and somehow Carlos Santana is still playing for the Clippers. They've lost 4 straight to Tampa Bay (understandable, they are the best team in baseball) and the Royals (No excuse!).
Bronson Arroyo (3-2 4.78) hurls for the good guys.
Jake Westbrook (2-2 4.27) toes the rubber for my childhood favorite team (til I got old enough to know better)
How bout this Reds fans....

We trade Cordero, Masset, Lincoln, Nix, and Cairo to the Red Sox for Papelbon? Frankly, I don't wanna see those 5 players put on that jersey......maybe ever again. -
THE4RINGZShould be a good series for the Reds to get back on track with. The Indians are horrible.
Come on down to the game, plenty of great seats left. -
CinciX12That'd be the best trade deal I've ever seen.
The Cincinnati Reds propose to trade their AA bullpen in its entirety for one of your half-way decent pitchers. What a phone call that would be. -
BCBulldogI still want to know why Miguel Cairo is on the team. Even after going 2-4 yesterday, he is still hitting .182/.206/.212 with 0 HRs and 3 RBIs. Defensively, his fielding percentage is an atrocious .882 and he has committed as many errors as he has turned double plays. But, he was in the lineup batting second yesterday and in there on defense in the ninth while Janish was on the bench. Brilliant!!

darbypitcher22I need a big start from Aroyo.
After Leake was denied the W and Pettitte stuck up the joint last night the Fantasy team needs a boost -
wes_mantoothIs it sad that I want the Tribe to get swept??...I want someone from Ohio to be decent.
-
BRFWhat is also sad is that I had to search for a thread on this game, rather than start my own miserable thread that an NCF or Capone would tear apart. So I thank you, Mooney.
-
BRFAlso...it's raining hard here at my place. How is it at the ball park?
-
wildcats20Let's go Red Legs!! Bounce back in a BIG way tonight....
-
stroupsWHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING BRANDON???????
-
wildcats20I REALLY, REALLY hope he was stealing on his own. Or our coaches need to be fired on the spot.
-
Ironman92Papelbon..he just gave up 2 HR in the 9th to the Yanks for the horrible loss after a huge Red Sox rally.
Brandon Phillips.....what in the hell are you thinking......he is NOT in any way a team player....he swung for the fences on both swings...got a bulllshit hit and then gets thrown out by 5 feet with 2 outs and our clutch 4 hole-hitter batting.
Phillips tried to hit a HR to get the old team Indians and hit it 45 feet and then tried to steal 3rd to get his old team and made the 3rd out at 3rd by 5 feet.
bullshit! he made me yell the f word more after doing that than mooney typed after the hideous 10-9 Braves game
I'll root for Dusty Baker before I root for a player like that. -
stroupsThat a baby Nix
-
wildcats20Nice job of taking second by Stubbs
-
Ironman92Now batting....Babe freakin Ruth
-
Ironman92Nice RISP stats provided by Thom.....Votto knocks them in way better than Phillips
Phillips only has 2 fewer plate appearances than Votto......Votto has 20 more RBI -
hoops23Shin-Soo Choo is the GOAT.
