Because in the 1st round they came together and were as healthy as they've been all season. When it came time to play the Suns, Parkers injuries came back around and then you have Manu's nose which CLEARLY affected him. They weren't the same team in round 2 than they were in round 1.Rotinaj wrote:
I dont understand your logic. You say LA got lucky to miss SA(which i can only assume you think the series would of went 6/7 games) but you think the team that just beat the shit out of them will get swept?SQ_Crazies wrote:
Assuming the Lakers play like I know they can and likely will, this shouldn't go past 4 games. The Suns will have no answer for the Lakers.Trueblue23 wrote: SQ what do you think brother?
The Lakers got lucky with their road to the Finals. That's not good for the EC representative.
Look at the matchups. The Suns are essentially the same team the Lakers just played, except they match up worse than the Jazz do. -
RotinajIll take Nash/Amare over DWill/Boozer and also the Suns 3 point shooters have been on fire. The Suns were down in both game 3 and 4 IN SA and came back to win them both. This is a different Suns team than were used too. The Suns were also missing their 7 ft center in Lopez who at the very least is a body that they will be able to throw at Gasol and Bynum.

SQ_CraziesLOL, ok. Well, I'll just wait until Monday and you'll find out. It's the same matchup you just saw the Lakers dominate.

Not my fault you don't have the fucking nuts to come out and call one team flat out better when you know they are. It's not rocket science. In making a prediction, I can only assume one thing--that both teams will play up to potential. If that happens, it's a 4 game series. You just pick 6 or 7 in every series so you never look like an ass. Excuse me for calling shit like it is.SportsAndLady wrote:
Didnt you say that about the Celtics and Cavs series?SQ_Crazies wrote:Good luck Suns...just sayin'. This will be a train wreck.
Yes you did..in that case, I'll take the Lakers in 7 -
I drain 3'sThe Suns as same as the Jazz? What makes you say that? Compare their starting line-ups. The Jazz have one advantage over the Suns and that's Deron Williams over Steve Nash. Wesley Mathews and CJ Miles don't come close to Richardson and Hill. Fesenko and Collins doesn't really matter, because both of them suck. Not to mention the Suns bench is deeper than the Jazz. Now if guys like Kirilenko and Okur were healthy, then yeah i'd probably say the Jazz were better, but they've been hurt the entire post season.
I really don't see how you think the Suns are the same as the Jazz. I don't think they are anything alike, pretty different styles of basketball. And how do the Suns match-up worse than the Jazz did? The one advantage the Lakers have over almost every other team is their size down low. Of course they're going to have this advantage over the Suns as well, but what makes it a bigger advantage against the Suns than it did the Jazz? What makes Boozer, Fesenko, Millsap, and Koufos a better match-up against the Lakers than Stoudemire, Collins, Frye, and Amundson. Also, lets not forget that Robin Lopez may be back for this series, adding even more size to the Suns roster. -
RotinajI guess i just dont understand how you say this is the same match up. You wanna cancel out nash/amare and Dwill/boozer i understand that. But then the Suns have Richardson who has been playing AMAZING(Utah has no 3rd guy w Okur and AK47 out). Utah also didnt have a Center that is a great 3 pt shooter. Grant Hill is playing some mad D and hitting shots. The Suns back up PG has been playing better than the Lakers staring PG. I think the Suns 2nd unit is what is going to make it a great series.

SageI think Lakers in five.
This will probably go 7 tho since SQs all on our nuts all of a sudden. -
goldengonzoWhat is the situation with Robin Lopez? Never thought he could be an X factor in the Western Conference Finals...
-
SQ_CraziesAll of a sudden? I picked the series with the Thunder to go 4, Jazz either 4 or 5. I just haven't underestimated the Lakers at all because I'm not a moron.
-
Sagei heard he was going to go.
not too worried. he's not bad, but it takes time to come back from injury and have an impact. -
2quik4uwell now since all that bullshit is over with we can start discussing basketball about a real team
-
Trueblue23Monday is so far away
-
sportswizuhrdWhy couldnt they play Saturday night in prime time? Two days w/o playoff basketball is lame.

Lame. -
Trueblue23ESPN is reporting that Kobe had "a significant amount of fluid" drained from his knee today, and he hasn't practiced all week.
-
devil1197Heard that also, shouldn't be a major problem.
Good luck. -

I would say the only advantage the Suns have is with Nash. I would take Pau any and every day over Amar'e(or however he spells it).Trueblue23 wrote: Fisher < Nash

Agreed. I'd take Gasol over Amare all day. But they probably will cancel each other out, Amare may even end the series with better stats just because he's more of a focal point in the Suns offense than Gasol is in the Lakers.wildcats20 wrote:

jpake1Both teams have been off for awhile now. Wonder how Kobe's knee, and Bynum's for that matter will feel. I'll go with the Lakers 109 Suns 103.

Trueblue23Almost game time!
-
Trueblue23Lopez is starting tonight
-
wildcats20Sager was saying Bynum can't walk straight/normal without his knee wrapped, how the hell is he running??
