Boston at Cleveland game 5, (2-2) 8 pm Tuesday

LeBron definitely needs to be more aggressive down the stretch. I'm with LTrain23...passing the ball to Andy for a jumper at the most pivotal time in the game was pure stupidity. LeBron is a very unselfish player who always tries to get his teammates involved, but he needed to be selfish at the end of this game. I realize that Boston is trying to force him to be a passer, but he has to be the man late in the game.

The Cavs have no answer for Rondo and he's putting up insane numbers across the board. His confidence is through the roof right now and he's making all the plays that the Celtics need. If the Cavs don't find some way to slow him down, they're probably going to lose this series.

And finally, is it just me or is there suddenly no one on the team that can make a jumpshot? I always feel like LeBron is better off taking it to the rim, especially with his elbow hindering his shooting somewhat, but guys like Jamison, Mo, Delonte, and Parker are bricking everything. I couldn't even count how many wide open looks those guys had today that weren't even close to going in. LeBron is taking what the defense gives him, getting those guys wide open jumpers, and they're rarely knocking them down. If this continues, along with Rondo torching the Cleveland defense, this thing isn't gonna be good.

Gibson is better than Mo in every facet of the game.

Cav defense all year has been solid. Sadly, today they didn't have it. And LOL at those that think Kobe has a bigger killer instinct than LBJ.

Cavaliers are one of the best outside shooting teams in the league. Unfortunately they have been very inconsistant so far in this year's playoffs.

I expected Boston to win today. I'm not too worried personally. I think the Cavs take care of business pretty easily in game 5, and then we have 2 shots to close it out.
  • BRF
I always feel like the opponents hit about 75 percent of their jumpers, while we cash in at about 25.

Kobe is def the better closer....no doubt about it.

Cavs fans are lying to themselves if they say they would rather have Lebron taking that final shot over Kobe. Lebron is the better player by a good margin now, but Kobe still has that killer instinct and knows how to finish.

I would take LBJ over Kobe in crunch time every single game. Sportscenter only shows the ones that go in for Kobe...not the ones that clank.

Agreed......I almost fell outta my chair when LeBron kicked it to AV for a 17ft jumper!

So that makes Kobe a better closer? Kobe did the same thing last night. The only difference was that Fisher made a very rare long 3.

Yeah, I know he misses more than he makes(same thing went for Jordan), but just my gut feeling is that I would trust Kobe's shot over Lebron.

Bring back Boobie Gibson! He was the X-Factor in the Cavs run in 2007.
  • just_a_swimmer
I don't care what anyone sais. I don't think there is a cavs fan that isn't somewhat worried. I think they are still going to win but hell ya I'm worried.

They got the split like they needed. Boston wasnt going to go down without a fight, that team has too many veterans to go quietly. Cavs had a golden opportunity to steal this game and they let it get away. They could never get over the hump and take the lead.

I will never understand Mike Browns coaching. I dont know why Jamario Moon only gets 2 minutes when AP was struggling out there. Why not try another lineup and mix it up? Jamario is quicker and taller than AP, why not try him on Rondo for a little bit........he couldnt do any worse.

I would say give Boobie a shot but its pretty clear that Mike Brown has no faith in the guy so why bother.

We shouldnt be that upset right now. They let one get away but are still in a great position to win this thing.

Someone needs to take Rondo's head off when he thinks he can drive down the lane unimpeded. No excuse for that Vern Troyer lookin mother f'er to be getting EIGHTEEN friggin boards. Assists, yes, but NOT 18 boards. Listless, heartless, pathetic basketball.

And I agree with those saying get Mo Williams off the court. Dude was a liability defensively but now it's seeped into his offensive performance.
  • Trueblue23
I remember last year when the Cavs got Mo, EVERYONE said he was the missing piece to the Championship puzzle for Cleveland.. everyone was PISSED when he wasn't selected to the All-Star game. Now, after a poor performance, the fans are ready to throw him under the bus. Puzzling.
  • BR1986FB
Not after "a poor performance." If it was ONE "poor performance", I'd agree. He's been a major disappointment/no show since he's participated in the playoffs with the Cavs....PERIOD.
  • KR1245
Mo is a total mystery to me. How can somebodys game change so drastically? Its the same game it was a month ago. I try to defend Mo all the time but its starting to piss me off, theres no excuse for playing that way.

Per Windy:LeBron said him guarding Rondo is something the #Cavs should "explore."

Our backcourt should be ashamed of themselves......Even though I think its pathetic that it might have to come to this it could be a good idea. Cut off the snakes head and it will die. The C's cant go without Rondo. Lebron should be able to slow him down.

What about the shot before that ? A 3 made by kobe. Or the shot before that? A off balance jumpshot made by kobe. Lebron was not aggressive at all, he wasn't looking for his own shot.

SMH...LOL. Over the past 3 years, do you really think Kobe Bryant has carried his team more often to victory in the fourth quarter over LBJ?

You people are nuts. Period. LBJ gets the ball each and every time down the court in crunch time. Bryant doesn't.

Really?? Because I saw Mo, Tony Parker and Andy take shots.

For the LOVE OF GOD.... I hope Pierce can get out of this funk he is in!!! .... He is missing way to many open jumpers and not driving to the rim at all!!! ... Nice to see T.A. get quality minutes! Rondo just went OFF today and that was just something else to watch. When he has that kind of confidence there is not much else you can do. KG was solid and Ray Ray did what Jesus Shuttlesworth does.... Game 3 Was such a SICK game to watch they haven't looked that bad since the 17 win season 4 years ago! No Heart, No passion, No effort given and the first 5-6 minutes of game 4 I was thinking of shit here we go again! ... But they got the lead and hardly ever let it go for but like 1 minute..... Pierce needs to rise up like game 7 vs. Cleveland two years ago and just go head to head with LBJ and no be so tentative, that is if he can stay out of foul trouble which that has KILLED us in all 4 games so far... If we were a younger team game 5 tied at 2-2 would make me a little uneasy, But as long as they play Celtics ball I'm confident they can steal game 5 in Cleveland... But they have to want it though!
