Mel Kiper said it was because of Clausen that Tate as sooo good! Wow...he has lost all of his cred with me.

Seattle is having the best draft so far.

    Good pick for Seattle.

    Browns not so much.

I don't mind not getting a QB in the first three rounds. I think we can make due with what we have and I'm not wild about any of the prospects this year outside of Bradford.

I didn't think that RB was a pressing need... Definitely didn't think we had to trade up to address it. At the same time, maybe they think Hardesty has a very bright future and that he was about to be chosen?

We just have to trust Holmgren/Heckert at this point.

    What is he disgusted with?
picking a RB over a WR most likely.

That's just LeCharles. He bitches about everything this organization does after he had the nerve to blow out his knee playing a pickup hoops game before even practicing and collecting his fat payday. He's been pissed that the organization didn't hand him a starting job when he tried to come back.

He thinks RB's are a dime a dozen, and when you make a huge stink about not reaching and how important your draft picks are, to then trade picks to trade up for a RB who would have been there later on is ridiculous. He thought the Ward pick was ridiculous as well so I guess he is just not liking the Browns draft so far.

It was a stupid move for the Browns because look at the players still on the board. They'd be picking again shortly--now they have to wait. A lot of good players are going to go in the next 15-20 picks. They moved up for the wrong guy. He isn't worth 3 picks, especially when one is a 2nd rounder and one was an early 3rd.

I disagree that RBs are a dime a dozen. It is a position in which there is a lot of talent in the NFL, but that doesn't mean that all RBs are equal or that there is parity at the position. There are certainly some RBs that are far, far better than others and it would be great if we got an impact player at that position in Round 2. If Heckert believes that Hardesty is a first round talent and that we were able to get him in the second, I'm fine with the move.

I think that people who try to pick apart a team's draft as it is happening are setting themselves up for failure. I haven't seen enough of Hardesty or Ward to make ANY sweeping judgments about them as players or their potential value in the draft.

Were they on my radar? No. Did I expect the Browns to draft either? No. Does that mean that they are certain bad picks and that Heckert should be taking heat already? Hell no.

These could end up being the greatest three picks in NFL history for all we know. I'm willing to trust the Holmgren/Heckert brain-trust and hope for the best.

Personally, I don't think that Bentley is proven as a judge of talent or that we should take his word over the guys in charge of the organization.

The Browns never cease to completely screw things up.
  • ts1227
So, does McCoy even get drafted tonight?
  • IggyPride00
McCoy would have been there at 71, the pick the Browns traded for the running back. I hope he doesn't end up being a decent QB because that would have been some nice value at this point in the draft.
  • mattinctown
Seriously, they are fucking interviewing Urban Meyer about Tebow? He's the fucking 25th pick, quit sucking his dong ESPN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
  • Jughead
These guys need to shut the hell up and go back to what they are supposed to be doing, i.e. cover the damn draft. :@
