Well, it will be more welcoming visually. I also plan on sending out an email blast to all past members as well, hopefully a few will stick around. The rest is on the community.Automatik;1867315 wrote:Will the new format entice new members and further quality discussion? plmk -

I've seen that pattern before and I'm considering it.MontyBrunswick;1867327 wrote:posts are under a certain thumbs up/down threshold should be hidden by default -

Asking for the sticky thread about your nerdism Justin, means he's one of you. The definition of compatible has nothing to do with like_that's nerdity.justincredible;1867271 wrote:I like that he called you a nerd when I'm the guy that just bought a new keyboard and am updating you all on the progress of a new website I'm building.

CenterBHSFanColor customization, please! I hate only having 3 or 4 colors to choose from. I don't even know if it's possible with what you're building, but if it can be done that'd be groovy.

ernest_t_bassI like Tapatalk, so that is disappointing. But I also don't pay the bills, so... I'll learn to adapt.

It might end up being a setting you can toggle to show/hide stupid posts.superman;1867415 wrote:I vote no. Let the stupidity of people like Turdo be out there for all the world to see. -
gutHoly crap. OC in spanish?!? I thought Trump was getting rid of all the illegals....
New site upgrade? Wow, I guess adsense revenues from all those new posters is really burning a hole in your pocket. -

It's possible, but lower priority. I'm sure it will happen, it will just be well after launch.CenterBHSFan;1867420 wrote:Color customization, please! I hate only having 3 or 4 colors to choose from. I think tapatalk is fine, but it's still pretty buggy and unnecessary if the site is built with mobile in mind.ernest_t_bass;1867422 wrote:I like Tapatalk, so that is disappointing. But I also don't pay the bills, so... I'll learn to adapt. -
Ironman92Justin...check you FB messenger pls

I saw it on my phone, waiting to login on a computer to respond. I'm having password issues at the moment, but I'll be getting back to you soon.Ironman92;1867442 wrote:Justin...check you FB messenger pls -
O-TrapI like the simplified design.
I'm probably the only person on here who doesn't prefer Tapatalk when I'm on my phone, but I admit that the site itself is a little annoying when it's not mobile-responsive. -

I only use the site on my phone and I don't have tapatalk. I've had zero issues.O-Trap;1867482 wrote:I like the simplified design.

I'm currently using it on my phone. I'm not saying it can't be done or that it's particularly difficult. But at present, if you want to see the whole page, the text is pretty small, because it's not responsive.superman;1867486 wrote:I only use the site on my phone and I don't have tapatalk. I've never used Tapatalk once. I think there are a few others on here who also don't use it.O-Trap;1867482 wrote:I'm probably the only person on here who doesn't prefer Tapatalk when I'm on my phone, but I admit that the site itself is a little annoying when it's not mobile-responsive. -

I prefer laptop to phone. I rarely post on my phone, including tapatalk.O-Trap;1867482 wrote:I like the simplified design.

To be fair, this is true of me too, but I'm convinced that part of the reason I don't do it on my phone is that it's less convenient to do so.Commander of Awesome;1867521 wrote:I prefer laptop to phone. I rarely post on my phone, including tapatalk. -
justincredibleJust to ease your mind, the site will be 100% responsive. It will look good on a phone, a tablet, and a regular sized monitor.
It's mostly responsive as of now, I just have to tweak some positioning of the user information on individual posts. In the screenshot below, the final version will be vertical (userinfo on top, post on bottom) instead of horizontal.

justincredibleI see tapatalk being beneficial in two scenarios.
1. You're a member of a forum that has a crappy mobile view (see: this place)
2. You're an active member of several forums that are all available on tapatalk.
It's a lot easier to just use the site itself if it's actually built for mobile, as you'll get all of the functionality, not just what tapatalk allows. -
