    He's a good dog.

We all went solely on the Jackson county hick shoutout "slaw burger, fries and a bottle of ski"-----ski is from Wellston. A terrible terrible drink that used to really hit the spot....Mountain Dew/Mellow Yellow without the class lol

    - Kiss had been at Cadillac (MI) high school the day before, getting a big parade thru the town, giving a pep talk to their football team, and playing a show in the high school gym that night.

    - The forgettable warmup band was Black Sheep, led by lead singer Louis Grammatico - who achieved fame and fortune 18 months later as Lou Gramm of Foreigner.

Nice - and no surcharges! Sadly, three years of inflation, and my 1975 Kiss ticket was all the way up to $5.50 for only one name act.

Fab, at that KISS concert, were Warrant and Ted Nugent the warmup acts? If so, I was there. Buddy of mine had a ticket and talked me into going. I was 37, and I felt so old seeing all the young kids at the show.
I believe the only opener was Saliva! Then KISS played and Aerosmith closed. At least at the Columbus show. Then again, I got pretty drunk on the way down, so I could be wrong. It was August of 2003. It's funny you say you felt old...my galfriend and I felt pretty young, lol.

First real concert (that I can recall) was Tim McGraw and Faith Hill - circa 1998. Wouldn't have been my first choice but I had a girlfriend at the time who loves Tim McGraw.

Don't call me a dumas, dumas.

Anyone else go to the George Strait Country Music Festival at the Shoe back in the 1999-2001 timeframe? Not sure if he did multiple shows there or if it was just the one.

    Rub it in, whippersnapper. :D

2003? Wow, didn't know KISS played Polaris then. The one I went to was in 1998, I believe. That was my last true "rock-n-roll" concert.

Yep, they did! My mom got my friend and me tickets as a graduation gift, and I paid for an extra so our other friend would drive us, lol. Looking back, I do not think he enjoyed it very much, but he got a free concert out of it. All three of us are big Aerosmith fans, so KISS was just an added bonus.

Heard Sly and the Family Stone at Wooster College in 1971.

    It was free.

They put on several free concerts for the students from 1971 to 1975.

Beach Boys, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show.

Lol, yeah...long week. They were there the year before and 20,000 showed up from the hills to see them. I was not there but definitely was at Pirates of Mississippi

Think I was at that one, remember Slipknot opening up on the small 2nd stage? Massive bass line entry got a bunch of people from the main stage to the smaller 2nd.

Kiss, James Gang and it was supposed to be Rush (cant remember band who replaced Rush) at Ohio Northern University in '74 or '75

What is funny is reading some of the of 1st" concerts of other posters that I was in attendance as well such as Pink Floyd in the Shoe and Wild Cherry in Muskingum College.
