I didnt die in the tunnels or ambush of Vietnam and I sure in the hell not going to die without defending myself ... In a movie theater

I read the same thing about the publishing of what gun stores had their guns used in crime today. I think that's a good start.
Aaaaarrrghhhh! ...not to insult you but that is sooooo "lean forward" progressive. That's like holding car dealerships repsonsible for a car they sold being used in a drunk driver fatality. That kind of stuff is just a veiled attempt to punish the owner of a business that does not fit their agenda.
Really, we don't have to wring our hands and come up with lame "solutions" to assuage the guilt that Obama heaped on all of us for allowing what he incorrectly sees as the "gun problem" to persist.

There are some people that understand that the problem is not the tools used, but why people are turning to this kind of violence, their motivations and hoow and why it's not caught earlier.
Marco Rubio nailed it at the last Republican debate...and he was on Matt Lauer and the Today Show this morning where he talked about this and other things concerning his campaign....full interview to follow...

even with KYC laws, banks are fooled by people every day and open up bank accounts used to launder millions for criminals and terrorists.

I'm also for outlawing the sale of guns online. Pretty sure the dude who shot up the theater in Colorado purchased all of that stuff online. Let's start there and make it so you can only purchase guns from a registered seller in person.
its not like amazon, the guns just don't show up at your door. they need to be shipped to a licensed firearm dealer and apply to all the laws in the state where you live.

I have never been shot at, and I've never been in a position where I had to fire a gun outside of a shooting range. But from all the conversations I've had with police officers and former armed service members, when the bullets start flying or you're in a situation like that, your training just kicks in. For a majority of citizens that have a gun, they don't have that training. So is it really a good idea to have a regular citizen with no additional training to that type of stressful environment with a weapon trying to stop an active shooter situation? They could potentially get the shooter. Or they could potentially freak out and injure other innocent people.

You posting these videos in response to the question about CCW holders stopping these events really doesn't do anything since you posted videos of trained professionals who just happened to be off-duty at the time.

You CCW for your own personal protection. That doesn't mean you should inject yourself into a dangerous situation without proper training. This entire arguement and discussion ( from both sides) is superfluous to solving the mass murder problem we are experiencing in this country and we should reject attempts to frame it as any thing but.

you've never been in a fist fight have you?

unless this killer is wearing a 17th century body armor, your option of a fatal stab wound is limited.

if confront with a individual with a knife or a gun .... They have decided already to use it... You will die or be seriously hurt
there are two types of armed individuals with weapons: trained and untrained .... Generally mass murders, thieves and thugs are untrained and make mistakes.... Knowing those mistakes can save your life and give you the advantage.

Like you many in our society don't prepare for anything...

21 feet rule .. W/ body armor vest:
Knife: neck, groun, arm pit, face(eyes), side rib cage, extenders/flexer tendons ....
If you have a pair, at 21 feet, get a bigger pair.. :)

Not surprised this turned into a gun debate.

Also not surprised the mods neglected to move it into the politics forum like they should've.

Attack the Attacker ..... again an example of a untrained attacker and a home owner with the idea that he not going to die and did nothing about it ...

We as a society have to start to be prepared for the unexpected and let those who want to commit a crime or killing spree will have to deal with a group willing to take action or the potential individual prepared to stop them. Killer, Thug and Thieves are cowards…Good people can stop crime and killing but you have to get involved.
Turn in your felon relative that has a gun, report to the police your family member is a fucking nutjob, parent stop pandering your fuck up kid and do what right turn him in for evaluation, talk to the police about family, friend and neighbors dealing in drugs, carrying weapon and gangs relations.

Ban guns how about banning stupid, crazy and dumbass first, as a good citizen should and prepare yourself to fight back.

Reps. I can understand that viewpoint and can appreciate that both sides would need to reevaluate their stance here.

Huh, queencitybuckeye noted that both sides with their agendas aren't helping matters due to said agendas being one-sided.

Now, Belly, yeah, since anything he has to say about any gun-related issue comes down to him repeatedly trying to convince everyone he's a bad-ass and if he could carry his gun everywhere, CRIME WOULD END. Despite the fact that shooters like this tend to not give a fuck what happens to them and tend to always have the element of surprise, meaning that the effectiveness of his potential involvement would rely on him keeping his cool, not being downed immediately and the shooter not noticing him fumbling for his gun and ending that bit of resistance very quickly.

It's really funny in a sad sort of way. Tiernan acts like he's this big NCF-esque puppet master, but right now, it seems that most of what he does is follow posters he has issues with all around the site to divert whatever the thread topic is solely to deliver some lame put-downs that at times reach "Imma kick yo ass!!!!" levels of impotent rage.

Which really indicates that he's being jerked about by the strings instead of actually holding them, which he's the only one too blind to see. In a way, I feel kinda bad for him, but the unintentional hilarity is too awesome for me to feel too bad.

Agree completely that he's a puppet and we're the one's holding the strings*. When we feel like letting the little monkey dance we don't thread ban him. When we want the little monkey to go away, he's gone.

And if we want to get him to respond in an alcohol-fueled, anger-driven insult-fest, well, we just have to point out that he habitually lies about everything.

Every post tiernan makes on here follows the same script and he gets played accordingly.

*As evidenced by Tiernan's inevitable insult-filled response to this post
