like_thatlol, how can you all even focus on the people when doing the insanity work out? Once he shows how to do the work out, I just get after it and don't really glance at the screen until he goes onto the next workout. I don't think anyone on the insanity series is as annoying as that corn cobb girl in p90x.

I always pre-watch the dvd's 2 or 3 times before I even do the workout for the first time so I can do the moves more fluidly. -
justincredibleMy wife has been reading a book called This is Why You're Fat by Jackie something. It's inspired her to change her (our) diet. We can eat as we normally do for the next two weeks but we have to start adding certain items every day. I can't recall what they are exactly. One quick change we made was to almond milk. I haven't had it plain yet but my protein shake for breakfast was just chocolate whey powder, ice, and almond milk. It was friggin' good.
I am trying to labor through a cup of plain greek yogurt right now. Fuck. That. Noise. Absolutely disgusting. -

I was drinking almond milk and switched over to coconut milk. Makes shakes much thicker.
As far as greek yogurt goes, they should have named it "haha, sucker, you think this is yogurt but it's really sour cream." Shit is nasty, plain. I put a scoop of protein powder, some raw blueberries or macadamia nuts in it. -
SonofanumpNot feeling that great so I skipped yesterday and pushed play today just to go through the motions. Third attempted at I-Plyo, first exercise with heart rate monitor which surprisingly I do not notice once it’s on. Did quite well, skipped all three sets of ski abs (which have always done) and did half (1 ½ of the 3) of the level ones. So I improved about two more exercises from last time. Starting heart rate 54-60, after warm up 156, stretch 120’s, did reach up to 162 during the plyo portion.
Yes, I am using this thread as my workout diary…

Sonofanump....since you're not doing the flour/grains I got a Rob Wolf Paleo Pancake recipe for you. Tasted friggin outstanding.
2 eggs
1/2 cup of almond or cashew (no peanut) butter
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
dash of cinnamon
dash of vanilla extract
Mix this all together and coat a pan with unpastured butter or coconut oil.
Top with berries or pure maple syrup (I went with blueberries)
Surprisingly this makes a very nice gluten/grain free pancake. -
OneBuckeyeI am down to 202 around day 40. Started about 212. My pants won't stay up without a belt and I am on the last hole of my belt. Did corn cob pull ups with that annoying lady for the 2nd time. Great workout ruined by the corn cobber. Finally got rid of the chair lately and am doing 7 to 8 pull with the knees coming up before going back to the chair for 10 or more. I am going out of town wed and thursday so it looks like i will have to do legs and back friday and double up on workouts saturday to stay on track. In the 2nd half of the program I want to lose the fat around my waist. I need to quit caffine (2 cups coffee) and get more sleep which will be hard.

If this is the same chick I'm thinking of she's a freakin brown noser. At the end of the workout when they all have their choice of pullups to do (I always do wide grips) she says "corncobs!" and I want to crack her upside the jaw for being such a suck up. -

I do flour, but only 100% WW or whole brown rice, but I'll try that sometime. I put a ton of berries on whatever I am eating.

I was thinking towards the end of the workout about the over under for how many times she went down on Tony in order to get on the video. I came up with 2.5. -

BR1986FBI've lost 8 pounds since his last weigh-in...a little disappointed in this since I was down about 10 lbs last week. I think the discrepancy in my bathroom scale and the "official" scale at the mall is more than I thought.

There's a lot of neat things you can do with kettlebells that make them a realy good tool. -

like_thatWoke up with crazy pain at 3am on the side of my foot. Came out of nowhere, I couldn't even walk so i had to hop to my freezer to get ice and ibuprofen. Feels a little better now, but it is pretty sore still. Pisses me off, I have no idea what the hell is wrong, and I really hate skipping out on workouts. I am considering doing a light workout at the gym on the cross trainer, but I really don't want to aggravate it any further.

Right now I'm just doing a 20 minute speed circuit of one & two arm swings. Eventually I'll graduate to get ups. I'm studying Pavel's workouts.
