Did you (or will you) vote today?

  • justincredible
I did not. There wasn't a single candidate worth voting for. And the unfortunate thing is someone has to win anyway.
  • friendfromlowry
Sent in my absentee ballot a couple weeks ago.
  • ernest_t_bass
Yes, I voted. For the first time in my voting life, I voted heavy libertarian. Regardless of who the candidates are (I try to pay attention as much as I can), I think it is dumb to not exercise your right to vote. Just vote on issues and skip candidates if necessary. I always practice my right to vote, b/c I know others don't have it.

Nope. Haven't lived here long enough nor have I become educated enough about the candidates/issues. I'll wait until that happens.

I also think it's dumb for people to say that people should always vote because "it is your right to vote." Not voting is exercising the right. No vote is a "vote." It's a vote saying "no one (or nothing) is worthy of my vote." It's a vote saying "I'm not picking the bad issues/candidate because s/he/it is better than than the other while they are all bad."

    yes I voted
    it is a civic duty

I voted. DC is heavy on the libtard side, however the mayor race is surprisingly close between the democrat and an independent. I voted for the independent and mostly voted libertarian for all other positions. Some positions had all democrats, so I just wrote my friend in lol.

mailed in my vote a few days ago and long with the other 11 members of my family..
we had a voting dinner party ...

I suppose I might run over to our polling location (right across the street from my house) when I get home from work and see if there are any libertarian candidates on the ballot. I can just write in "fuck the system" for any positions not worth voting for.
  • justincredible
Just checked my ballot online and there are only 2 libertarians to vote for (Auditor and Secretary of State). That's a lot of write-ins.
  • FatHobbit
I also mailed my absentee ballot in last week.
  • salto
I'm on vacation all week, have no plans and still not going to go vote.

Fuck it. They are all the same sheep.

    See... that's the spirit!

I will be voting after work. First time at my new precinct...not really looking forward to it. My last one was in the country and was full of hillbillies who drive trucks, wear camo and always have a dip in. I miss them. :(

I didn't know you were from St Paris?!
  • Iliketurtles
I won't be voting. Mostly because for the last 2.5 years I've been lazy and haven't registered to vote down here. But even if I was registered I still don't think I would have voted.

I'm registering this morning in Illinois and will be voting repub down the ballot

Edit: mainly because it's all for nothing. Illinois is a libtard state and that won't change with my measly one vote.

I voted a couple times this morning. When I'm finished charging my new iPhone 6 Plus, I'm going to go sell my EBT card at the corner store, then buy smokes. Then I'll vote a few more times after that.

I wasnt too excited about going and was gonna skip but figured it was my duty.

I always like to vote but am so disenfranchised with politics.

While walking out though I did get a little pick me up with a class of 25-30 HS kids going in to vote for their very first times.
  • friendfromlowry
I didn't vote so much for candidates but more so the school levies and library. I'm all about education and shit.
  • queencitybuckeye
I did, although it's tough to come up with a reason other than the "duty" angle. A popular sentiment is "throw the bums out", but those running against the bums can't seem to come up with a single reason to vote for them, just reasons not to vote for the other guy.

I agree, not too happy with our choices for senator. But I wanted to vote on some of the tax increases on the Charlotte ballot. Plus I tend to vote in most elections.

Have not voted yet, but will.

Will vote out every incumbent that I can that works in Washington. Each and every one of them should be shown the door as they cannot...or refuse to....do the will of the people.

Did not vote. Have only lived here since April, and everyone I would have voted for will win, with the exception of maybe 1. Ha Sanford (guy who ran away to Argentina with his mistress awhile ago while governor) is running unopposed for the House.
