How was Trayvon Martin a POS?

Just saw that surveillance video of the dude leaving the store after stealing some things. He's a big ass dude. Someone who probably would think they could overpower anyone.

I like how most of this thread is people complaining about the media skewing public opinion with out of context and sensationalized pictures and headlines. Yet someone posts an unflattering photo of a black teenager who is standing trial for murder, claiming it's the victim in the St. Louis case, and people here immediately start to eat it up.

It's 2014, learn to use reverse image search you fucking idiots. It's not the same guy: http://newsone.com/2737243/jacqueline-bell-joda-cain/
I don't give a shit either way. the kid robbed a store, that's a fact. I don't care if he has a picture with a gun or has a picture of him receiving a noble peace prize.

the odds are that even though the cop didn't know he was the one who robbed the store, the gentle giant who picks on the little guy probably thought the cop was on to him and was going to arrest him, so instead, he fought back, and lost.

So Jesse Jackson is there now, and he said it wasn't a racial issue, but an issue of right vs wrong. He said the only thing he needs to know is how many times the guy was shot and where he was shot. Lol, so in his mind there's no debate as to if it was justified or not. It was wrong solely because the guy wasn't armed. He was asked why he and Al Sharpton aren't in Chicago addressing the black on black violence and he said he was there every day or multiple times a week speaking on it but the media won't cover it. lol
  • rmolin73
They should have asked Jesses race baiting useless ass where the marches and protests are in Chicago! He and Sharpton don't profit off of it.
  • bigdaddy2003
They did ask him why he wasnt in Chicago. He said he was but the media won't cover it. Lol

Also, pmoney's post about how the militarization of police units is disturbing. When you have stuff forbidden in international conflict like tear gas being routinely used by Americans on Americans as basic crowd control, you have a complete failure of a law enforcement agency that seems more determined to stir shit up and make it worse than anything else.
Yeah the crowd control function was completely fucked up. #militarystate

Also, LOL at playing the emotional card "boo hop a child got shot and you are not concerned???" That 6'4 292 pound child can kick most our asses. Fact of the matter is, don't be a fucking criminal and your chances increase that you won't have to deal with the cops, or get shot.
Why are you so focused on rioting and looting? Yeah, it's fucking bullshit and completely trash-worthy on part of those who loot. But,
As promised, Jackson reconvened with reporters after noon. Was Brown shot because he was a suspect in the robbery case, reporters asked. No, Jackson said. Another officer, not Wilson, had responded to the robbery case, he said. Wilson had been in the area, but had not been aware that Brown was a suspect. He had, in other words, no reason to suspect Brown of any wrongdoing when he approached him on West Florissant Avenue. Reporters were incredulous. Why did Wilson decide to shoot Brown multiple times, when Brown’s only “crime,” to Wilson’s knowledge, had been standing in the street?

The press conference was cut short. An article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch says Jackson told them in an interview the officer saw cigars in Brown's hand and made the connection to the robbery. Reporters, and the community of Ferguson, are still looking for answers.

    A robbery suspect.

Animals. Tear gas or rubber bullet them all. "No arrests were made." Good work fuzz.
  • Midstate01
Maybe the cop didn't know he was a suspect. But if you've just robbed a place and then a cop stops you in the middle of the street, I'd guess that'd make you a little anxious.

CNN releases a video of the body laying there. They say it laid there for hours..no idea if that's fact. Not sure why they'd do that. But regardless in the video all these black people talking about how dirty this is blah blah. They're all willing to talk. But if this was a black on black crime theyd all be inside and not willing to talk. That's a fact.

That's because blacks always revert to the fact white people hold them back and the slavery bullshit. So of course when it's white vs black they are out in full force.

Like I've said before CNN is a race baiting network.

That seems pretty decent and level-headed, to me. Jesse is saying it wasn't racially motivated but simply a question of excessive force. Not sure what about any of that would be disagreeable.

Wouldn't surprise me that it's true. More CNN race-baiting....after the guy is pronounced dead, it's a police shooting with a dead suspect. You don't just whisk the body away until detectives can investigate and crime scene photos taken. I suspect that would take at least a few hours.

Actually, if you wanted to give the cop cover/defense, you'd get the body away as fast as possible so he could later claim the scene wasn't properly processed.

So you are saying there is no reason at all for the cop to have shot the guy? Unfortunately I don't really know what happened and can't say the cop had no reason to shoot the guy. Jackson made a comment that he had been preaching that the black community needed to register to vote so they could get put on jury duty and have a more fair trial. The bottom line is that Jackson and Sharpton don't show up unless there is room for their agenda. They can say they aren't there for that but in his speech he named the black people who are being gunned down like they are being hunted. Sorry, but we don't know what happened here. Just because the guy didn't have a gun doesn't mean there wasn't a reason to shoot.

    bigdaddy2003;1644762 wrote:Just because the guy didn't have a gun doesn't mean there wasn't a reason to shoot.
if its true that he did try and get the cop's gun, that is more than enough justification to shoot.
  • Midstate01
At that man's size, if he got physical at all with the cop, he had reason to shoot. If you feel threatened you have the right to shoot. And they don't shoot to injure... Thats not what they're taught. If you shoot, you shoot to kill and you also will unload your clip. Exactly how they're taught.

I heard he was shot multiple times, and possibly in the back. That's where excessive, and perhaps unlawful, force would come into play.

Thankfully these criminals are really dumb and all the videos uploaded to youtube (hopefully) becomes state evidence.
