Donald Sterling banned for life by NBA

rmolin73It's funny how many times Al Sharpton is brought up on the oc.

Lol the NAACP thrives off of donations. Good example though smh.bases_loaded;1610540 wrote:The NAACP twice recognized this man. That can't be said enough. Even after the DOJ charges and Elgin Baylor. Money talks and bullshit walks -

It's funny how much the MSM goes for known race baiter, Al Sharpton's comments on situations. This situation included.rmolin73;1610543 wrote:It's funny how many times Al Sharpton is brought up on the oc. -
Gblock
haha reps..anytime racial issues are mentioned they must quickly be trivialized by saying sharpton, AA, NAACP or black people crying race or racebaiters. the same conversation over and overrmolin73;1610543 wrote:It's funny how many times Al Sharpton is brought up on the oc. -
TedShecklerThen he should shut his mouth.

and yet you link a video to himTedSheckler;1610552 wrote:Then he should shut his mouth. -
TedShecklerProving a point. As long as he's on the air spewing his drivel, he will continue to be used as an example.

thavoiceWhen this came out over the weekend some outlets would preface this as not knowing for sure if this was him on the tape. I was in a wait-and-see mode because it all seemed too clean, too tidy, almost too scripted to be an actual phone conversation.
But since he hasnt come out and said it wasnt him then we pretty much have to believe it is. -

By guys on the oc repeatedly. The fact that you posted a video cracks me up even further. You can't be that naive to think that some media outlets love to broadcast this clown. Trust me he is more and more insignificant as the years go buy.TedSheckler;1610555 wrote:Proving a point. As long as he's on the air spewing his drivel, he will continue to be used as an example. -

What point needs to be proven? Most people know he's an asshatTedSheckler;1610555 wrote:Proving a point.

At this point you're paying attention to someone who operates on attention. -

It's one of those things that people do when they're not that good at making up their own counterpoints.Mohican00;1610560 wrote:What point needs to be proven? Most people know he's an asshat

At this point you're paying attention to someone who operates on attention.
1. Find famous person generally considered an asshat (Sharpton works in this case; Rush works in other cases; other people work in still other cases).
2. Point out their comments on the subject.
3. Use the fact they commented on said subject to discredit the entire subject, because obviously, if an asshat is on "your side", it has to be 100% wrong. -

I've never believed it wasn't him. The way the conversation was orchestrated, however, the whole thing was obviously contrived and Sterling baited into saying certain things in a light that intended to sound overtly racist. It sounds like a highlight tape. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in fact edited and spliced together so that we only hear the "juicy" parts.thavoice;1610557 wrote:When this came out over the weekend some outlets would preface this as not knowing for sure if this was him on the tape. As I said before, this **** was obviously using Magic Johnson's dick as a bargaining chip and the best way to do that was to parade him around in Donald Sterling's own house, at Clipper games. He was obviously pissed off and lost his cool on that phone call. It doesn't totally excuse his off-the-mark comments, but I'd love to hear the rest of that audio tape. -
reclegend22And even if that is the full audio tape, I'd love to hear more behind-the-scenes conversations involving this woman, who, by the way, has been charged with embezzlement. You know, a real credible source.

I am not doubting it was him, just wasnt 100% sure when it came out for the reasons I stated. Plus, I never had heard of the guy nor did I know anything about his past. I do believe of what you are saying though that she is a malipulative twunt who set him up.reclegend22;1610584 wrote:I've never believed it wasn't him. wildcats20@971thefan: Adam Silver: "I am banning Mr. Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers organization or the NBA."
-
reclegend22LOL why wasn't Sterling banned for life after comparing African Americans to vermin 15 years ago? This was a power move to appease the proverbial lynch mob and nothing more.
-
SportsAndLady
Gotta agree with this. I doubt silver wanted to do this, but he had to.reclegend22;1610596 wrote:LOL why wasn't Sterling banned for life after comparing African Americans to vermin 15 years ago? This was a power move to appease the proverbial lynch mob and nothing more. -
