I can understand why people would like this season more but I think both are great
  • Glory Days
WOW. That ending was gut wrenching to watch.
  • SportsAndLady
    Yeah that was really sad

This season has been pretty amazing after the first 3 episodes. That final shootout scene was Sunday was great.

90 minute season finale tonight. I guess I didn't think they were that far along, still seems like a lot to cover.

I have no clue how they're going to sort things out now that he's dead.

I have enjoyed various parts of this season, but it does not even come close to last season. Still, it is different than most things on tv, and I am sucker for the genre.

Here is a pretty funny overview of the season from Slate

I definitely think it comes close. Since the shootout, I've actually enjoyed this season a bit more.

The ratings are much better this season. looking at each episode, people fell asleep during McConaughey's ramblings last season.

No they didn't. You just didn't like them because you're a cop and like gunfights over intelligent writing and plot.

Agree this season doesn't touch last season. I have enjoyed this season, but It's just too damn confusing. There's too many "names" and story lines that they don't even touch on for more than 30 seconds.

We get it that you have problems following anything complex S&L...like pro & college sports in general.

you mean just like last season? heck, if you read the old posts on this site, there are all kinds of spin off theories/plots discussed that the show never addressed.

Using ratings as a determination for which season was better? Jesus.

Season 2 is getting such good ratings BECAUSE of season 1.

Since when are shoot'em up/blow'em up shows too confusing? which is it? confusing or dumbed down for "people like me"?

but it proves my point that people weren't interested during the episodes where McConaughey babbled on. oh wait nevermind, its only the elite people like you who truly understood the first season....

    God that finale sucked.

That season was better than season 1? Looooooool
  • ohiobucks1
Both finales sucked. The walking scene was amazing though. I hated it however because I ended up so depressed. That was obviously the point, though.

Last year's finale was great. They were true detectives who solved the fucking case. This year they all got murdered and didn't really stop all the corruption.

Guess that's true cops out in LA (looking at you glory days)

the pissing match about which story you liked better aside, can we all agree that vince vaughn was phenomenal? like seriously, I knew what colin farrell was capable of, i assumed rachel mcadams could play her part well (btw, incredible sex appeal from her), but i always thought vince vaughn was going to suck playing a serious role. i was so wrong.

regardless of which season you prefer, the acting has been incredible in both seasons. i liked the story better in season 1, but this season was almost as good from the story's standpoint.

Yeah Vaughn was awesome. I didn't like the storyline of he and his wife (who is smoking hot by the way) trying to/not being able to have a kid. But other than that that his character was awesome. The scene with him and Ferrell sitting at the table with guns pointed at each other was one of the best of the season.

Concur on the great acting by all parties in S2 but the way they wrapped it up really was less than satisfying.

I thought it was about right. The cycle continues, then we see mcadams with what i assume is farrell's baby starting the take down of the machine while she goes off into the sunset with nothing to show for her time in Vinci except for 4 fabulous tits.
