Why is it an issue? No one would have a issue if a performer had only straight marriages as part of a song. Some people might think it was stupid (and that's still a valid opinion now) but it's not like you'd see comments like yours and Webfire's.

I mean really why is it an issue? I don't think they had to do that and it's not like it's advancing anything socially but some people got to get married at the Grammy's and probably had a great time.

So everytime gay people are on television it's part of an agenda? Is it part of an agenda everytime there's a straight marriage on tv?

They would have had serious issue if someone spoke out against gay marriage of lifestyle.

The audience appeared to love it.

This. The message..."If this offends you, you're wrong. Go ahead and speak out against it, so we can alienate your opinion and beliefs..because fuck your beliefs if they don't align with ours."

Watched the Pro Bowl, then a few minutes of the local news and then flipped and saw that song with them marrying all those people.
Another fucking way the fucking liberal media slamming gayness into our faces.

There is another, more important (at least to me), reason. As I92 pointed out earlier in the thread, Maclemore's incessant talk rap/preaching gets tiresome quickly and does not lend well to great harmony or flow. Simply, I do not enjoy his "sound."

There are rappers I enjoy who, for the most part, do not rap solely about money, drugs and women. Childish Gambino and Atmosphere come to mind. Also, while they're not rappers in the traditional sense, I'd much rather listen to a group like Twenty One Pilots over Maclemore as they actually have a pleasing sound and rhythm to their music.

It will be interesting to see if he is even mentioned at next year's Grammy's.

And what about the message from you, Webfire, thavoice, etc.? It sounds like you're saying, "fuck gay people, their rights, their beliefs and their supporters beliefs because they don't align with ours."

The audience loved it because the audience was the Hollywood elite.

So would you be ok with an anti-gay group doing something at next year's Grammy's?

They have the same rights as you or i. A gay man can marry a woman. A gay woman can marry a man. That is what marriage is, one man paired with one woman.

I am not against anything of the such. But be gay and be happy on your own time. I don't need the agenda pushed on me all the time.

He said it was pushed on an audience that was not there for that reason. I simply said that the audience appeared to enjoy it.

The audience he was talking about was the national one watching on TV

I would not. But if it was on the TV, I would simply turn the channel. Everyone whining about the performance and marriages could have done the same.

As I said, I have no real opinion on gay marriage even though my sister is gay. That said, her (or any gay person) getting married would effect me in NO way whatsoever, so I have no problem with it.

Correct. Obviously the live audience would be a big gay fest.

He definitely won't be remembered as one of the greats a decade from now. We'll just put it that way.

It's very easy to turn the channel.

How long did it take them to go from two girls kissing to having gay weddings?

Thats not the same at all.

Pushing gayness and is NOT pushing anti-straightness.

Nobody who is gay gives 2 fucks about what anyone does with their life. They dont give 2 fucks if you are straight and are content in your marriage to the opposite sex. All they care about is having the ability to do the same things, ie, marriage.

Now, on the flip side, people who are anti-gay clearly do care and literally spend countless hours of their lives trying to keep gay people unhappy. It makes no sense. If we didnt have anti-gay, we wouldnt have anything to push down our throats.
