Peculiar Eating Habits

  • ernest_t_bass
Throughout your life, what have been some peculiar eating habits, or special recipes that you use, where others think you're weird. I don't have too many now, but have had some growing up.

    - Used to crush up graham crackers into a cup, pour milk over them, eat with a spoon
    - Used to keep a big jar of apple sauce in my car (college), and basically drink it on my way to and from basketball games.
    - I often put a couple ice cubes in my coffee so I can drink it right away.

Dotn know if its peculiar or not, but I wont drink milk if the SELL DATE is that day (or in the past) even though I know its supposed to be good for a little while yet.

I used to put sugar in chili. My buddy used to put mayonnaise in chili.

Not sure that I do anything weird these days.

I turn my fresh pizza upside down (by slice) on the opposite side of the box and give it a little press or douse it with a napkin to degrease a bit.

I cut brats in half ( length wise) and then put 1/2 on the bun to eat.

I put a Kraft single in my Spaghettio's with meatballs. Super white trash.

Is eating the best part of the dish last wierd?
I wont tough the main course of my food until the rest is finished.

I used to eat only one thing at a time then move on to the next item on the plate. I also had to smell my food before the first bite, then I would eat it.

I think it stems back to when I was a kid and I took a drink of spoiled milk and hurled so now I dont take that chance!

I thought it was normal to not drink milk that is near, on, or past the date on the carton/jug.

I've had numerous things mentioned to me that are different:
    -- PB&J with a slice of cheese
-- PB and pickle sandwich (very good with chili)
-- PB and sweet onion sandwich
-- pouring milk on pie or cobbler
-- mashed potatoes and noodles (basically the noodles are the gravy)
-- Prison pad Thai (Ramen noodles, sriracha, and crunchy peanut butter)

Here in Kansas, it is "normal" to eat chili with some cinnamon roles...

I think I'm going to make prison pad Thai tonight with some shrimp added sounds good for so e reason lol

-I like to freeze my grapes (fantastic btw)
-When I ate too waffles back as a kid, I would put peanut butter on them
-I used to be put ketchup and plain yogurt on my rice as a kid. I still do put yogurt on it, but thats a turkish/mediterranean thing (cue COA's fail comment about turks)
-I sometimes chew gum while drinking beer
-I drench my pho with sriracha
    -Frozen pineapple

Mashed potatoes and noodles? I don't see that any rarer than PB&J

I think so, I do the opposite. Might as well make sure I can finish the best part of the meal first.

The place I get Pho from gives a side of hot pepper sauce to put on it as needed.

Hummus on salads instead of salad dressing. Better for you, more filling, and taste is far superior to salad dressing. Hummus FTW.

I did that before they changed the fries. Not a fan of the new fries as it is, so in the frosty was just bad news bears.

Just mentioned this to The Wife and it was the same way in Nebraska where she grew up.

You can dip almost any fry in chocolate ice cream and it's delicious. We had (have) no fast food in my hometown, but I would do that at the local diner when I was young.
