Game of Thrones - Season 4 (TV Show Discussion Only)
-
Manhattan BuckeyeYeah, I think you will enjoy the rest of the season. From what I read HBO didn't hold back on the budget.
-
Laley23If you have to find the information anywhere else than within the 1 HR HBO is televising it...its a fucking spoiler. I dont go to IMDB and look at titles. I dont go to my DVR and look at the title. I turn on HBO at 9pm and watch the fucking episode.
I dont watch trailers before the season, because I dont want to know anything.
Im not going to do anything this time, because that wasnt a "true" spoiler, and everyone has been pretty damn good so far. But, last warning. Lots of people dont read up about GoT every day and dont know what is going to happen...and we like it that way. I immediately thought it would be the Red Viper to fight, but I had no way to confirm that and would be anticipating all of it until Sunday...now I know for sure. Its lame. We made a fucking separate thread for you guy to talk about stuff you KNOW will happen. Take it there. -
Laley23And no one would know that the necklace was going to be involved in the death of the king. That information is only obvious if youve read the books or after the fact. Of course everyone wondered what the hell was going on in that scene and we knew the necklace meant something. But, no way would we expect it to be the death of the king 100% no questions because of that scene. Come on.

I asked question, "who do you THINK fight will be between?" We not even allowed to speculate? DerpSportsAndLady;1615725 wrote:Thank you.
All I'm saying. Didn't mean it as a big deal. Just can't comprehend why people on here can't just talk about the previous episodes and not future ones. -

It wasn't any kind of fucking spoiler man. HBO has made it fucking public by labeling the god damn episode and releasing the name. This wasn't taken from the book - it was taken by A) having a god damn brain and B) It being published by FUCKING HBO.Laley23;1615757 wrote: Im not going to do anything this time, because that wasnt a "true" spoiler, and everyone has been pretty damn good so far. Jesus. If you want to get pissy, get pissy HBO gives the info away in the title of the upcoming episode. Or get pissy that people can't put 2 and 2 together with this season. But it in no way is a spoiler to say who is fighting. Its obvious. -
ernest_t_bassCome on, bro. No one wants to know that, bro.

Manhattan Buckeye"Of course everyone wondered what the hell was going on in that scene"
Use your imagination, what else could have it meant? And you also have the Tyrell's (or at least the ones in charge) knowing that Joffrey is a monster and want no part of him. Despite that scene there were plenty more of Olenna scheming. Granted, it was more obvious in the books, just like the Red Wedding which was foretold by no fewer than 4 different prophecies and the big one is Robb's direwolf not being allowed into the ceremony/reception. Great writing and screenplay, but not really shocking, and I think the purple wedding is my favorite scene of the series. -
Gblockthe necklace was obvious and not spoiled by this thread...pretty much the same with the prince of dorne

Manhattan Buckeye"it was taken by A) having a god damn brain and B) It being published by FUCKING HBO."
I'll take A with that. It was the most un-spoilerish foreshadowed moment in the series - forget the books. As soon as Tyrion (and Dinklage is awesome as usual) finishes his speech the camera immediately panned to Oberyn. -

It isn't even this weeks episode name. Like I said previously, WHO THE FUCK JUST READS THE NAME OF EVERY EPISODE? Im guessing its the name of the episode 2 weeks from now because we find out 100% in this weeks episode.derek bomar;1615762 wrote:It wasn't any kind of fucking spoiler man. derek bomarWell for starters there's usually no Memorial Weekend Epi. So there is no 2 weeks from now Epi.

LOL ok, so 3 weeks. WTF does that have to do with my main point?derek bomar;1615780 wrote:Well for starters there's usually no Memorial Weekend Epi. So there is no 2 weeks from now Epi. -
SportsAndLadyBomar, MB, etb. You guys are fucking retarded. Fucking retarded.
If you seriously can't comprehend what we are saying (no spoilers, even if you read future ep titles), then you shouldn't be posting on this thread. -

Just pointing out that you don't pay attention to things. So maybe that's why you're butthurt you missed the obvious.Rotinaj;1615783 wrote:LOL ok, so 3 weeks. WTF does that have to do with my main point? -

Answer me this: How is it a Spoiler if I haven't read the book or confirmed (even though c'mon man this is what is happening) from a *spoiler* site that what indeed is happening is what I say is happening? I am just using information that all of you have access to AND ONLY THAT INFORMATION.Not the book. Not wiki. Not whatever. Just common fucking sense and happening to pay attention to things. And we're the retards? GFY.SportsAndLady;1615784 wrote:Bomar, MB, etb. You guys are fucking retarded. Fucking retarded.

Ok genius, who else would be Tyrion's champion?SportsAndLady;1615784 wrote:Bomar, MB, etb. You guys are fucking retarded. Fucking retarded.

Explain in detail, and for once try to use good grammar. -
SportsAndLady
I don't fucking know MB, it could be any character on the damn show. It could be a random nobody that we've never met. Tyrion could go watch people sword fight and pick the best looking fighter.Manhattan Buckeye;1615793 wrote:Ok genius, who else would be Tyrion's champion?

Just because the mountain is the most logical, doesn't mean you should give that spoiler away. -
derek bomarIt's not a spoiler.

Replace spoiler with information and then respond.derek bomar;1615803 wrote:It's not a spoiler. -

Which has happened at no time other in the show. When has a random person just routinely showed up and became a major player? Even Bronn fought with Tyrion on the way to the Vale before he became his champion. GRRM's writing deteriorated and D&D are picking up the slack but in no way would non-book readers accept that just some random guy fights for Tyrion's life.SportsAndLady;1615801 wrote:I don't fucking know MB, it could be any character on the damn show. Was that even a serious comment? -
ZoltanC'mon guys, it's not a spoiler. Anyone who has been paying attention to the casting deals knows that the actor who plays the red viper is swordsman in real life, and only signed on for this season to do the fight.
M/B
Listen I get it's not a true spoiler to say he was fighting, but the book readers just need to resist, no matter how hard it is, to not show off their superior knowledge of what is going on and will be happening. And MB thinks everyone tries to be an insider and watch shows like they are in the business. Most people just want to be entertained, and don't care what the director was trying to do, who wrote the script, etc. -
AutomatikS&L, you're wasting your time.
-
Manhattan BuckeyeI get your point Zoltan, but there is a difference between a spoiler and stating the obvious. And it has been damn obvious that Oberyn was brought in for this to anyone with an IQ above 60. At some point sports and lady needs to stop being a douche....and being an idiot about a tv show is a good place for him to start. There's nothing superior or insider-ish about figuring out the blatant obvious.
