What was the last movie you watched and how would you rate it?

As of last night I'm no longer the only guy in America who hasn't seen The Big Lebowski.

5.5/10 for me...it was okay, and Jeff Bridges was as advertised. Still, it didn't quite live up to the hype IMO.

Agree with that. It was definitely quotable but everyone kept telling me i had to see it. It did not live up to the hype.

Not that great of a summer list :/

Really looking forward to Dunkirk though.

Based exclusively on previews I've seen, I see three movies that look interesting: Baby Driver, American Assassin, Hitman's Bodyguard

I'm looking forward to guardians of the galaxy, pirates of the Caribbean, wonder woman, cars 3, Spider-Man, Valerian, and atomic blonde.

I'm disappointed Tom Cruise is remaking the mummy

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 10/10 felt like it was just as great as the first one.

Guardians of the Galaxy (yeah, finally getting around to watching the first one)...very entertaining--loved it...9/10

GotG2: 7.5 or 8/10. Good movie and should definitely see it in theatres for the SFX, but not as good as the first. The movie was very funny but the plot wasn't as well thought out or tied into the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe as the first one was.

John Wick 2: 4/10, action, cool violence scenes, but mostly boring and I really liked the first one. I honestly fell asleep at the beginning of the movie and woke up during the first major shooting scene. Plot wasn't as good as first either, not even close.

Secret Life of Pets - 6.5/10

My wife wanted to watch this on netflix this weekend. It was a funny enough movie.

Saw Guardians of the galaxy tonight. It was ok. 7 out of 10 might be generous but i had super high expectations. I thought it was a little too cheesy and the humor was a little forced in a lot of places.

Watched Paterson because of its 95% rotten tomatoes rating.

    1/10

One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Finally saw Mad Max. WAAY better than I thought when I saw the trailers, solid 7.5/10.

Also saw Everything Must Go, a drama with Will Ferrell. He's a damn good actor, and a solid flick. 8/10

Wife dragged me to Everything Everything...

Not terrible, but entirely predictable and I would say 4/10 at best.

Most women will probably rate around 6 or 7...

Take any notebook type movie where the girl is sick/dying and make them teenagers...wife/GF will love it, men will be mostly bored, especially once they figure out the ending (was rather predictable).

Dr strange. It was entertaining but not great 6/10

La la land. I liked it but it also was not great. Any time someone makes a movie about how hard it is to be an actor the industry will fall all over itself about how great that movie is. 6.5/10

Sounds like my review of the first film. I just saw the second and liked it better than the first.

Alien: Covenant - It was ok but I thought Prometheus was better. The setting was beautiful. I'm not sure where they filmed it, but it's a nice landscape. Michael Fassbender did a good job as usual. I would say 6.5/10

    Moonlight - 7.5/10

I still think Lion was the best movie last year.

    1. Lion
    2. Manchester by the Sea
    3. Hell or High Water
    4. Hidden Figures
    5. Moonlight
    6. La La Land
    7. Arrival
    8. Fences

    Never saw Hacksaw Ridge.

    The Accountant - 8/10

Really enjoyed that movie. Had no idea who was in it aside from Ben Affleck but it was a pretty good cast.
  • FatHobbit
War machine. 5/10 It was critical of all of our wars, and i don't necessarily disagree with it, but i wouldn't really call it entertaining.

    Hateful Eight

    Wtf/10

Seriously, what was that movie about?
  • SnotBubbles
Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales

    8/10

Still good quality entertainment, we took the whole family. People have been hard on it...no, it's not the 1st one; but if you don't compare to the other ones it is still a really good movie. I hate when critics give a review because they are comparing it to prequels. Worth the $ to go watch for sure.

We also saw Snatched last weekend. 6/10. Had some funny parts but drug on a little too long. It's Schumer's best effort as a lead in a movie so far.

I really liked it. Bounty hunters, random travelers stuck in a shop/inn. Daisy is in a gang, and her members have ambushed the store and killed everyone, then plotted to kill anyone else arriving and save Daisy. Doesn't go quite as planned, thats the basic jist lol.

I know what it was about. I guess I just didn't get the point.
