Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children: 7/10...it grew on me as the movie went on...typical Tim Burton flick

    My Scientology Movie - 7/10

War for the Planet of the Apes - 7.9/10

Enjoyed it, and the entire trilogy, but some of the things in this movie made me mad. Overall a really satisfying end to the reboot. 1, 3, 2 would be the order of films if I had to rank them.

    Dunkirk on IMAX 9/10
Timelines threw me off at first, but was just an amazing display of storytelling.
  • SportsAndLady
    Lion, 7.5/10

Thought it was a little slow in the middle, but overall a really good movie.

The last king of scotland. Based on a true story. 7.5 out of 10....would have liked to have seen more of the atrocities. Forrest Whitaker knocked his role outta the park and I can see why he won best actor for it.

War for the Planet of the Apes. 6/10.

Loved the trilogy, but this one was the worst of the 3, still worth seeing, but just above average.

SPOILER, do not continue unless you want a lot ruined...

My main problem was that it was built up as a WAR between humans and apes from trailers to the actual name of the movie, and it was 90% political, 5% scenery, and only like 5% battles. There was literally only two battles in the whole thing, the opening scene and the final scene. You got 2 hours inbetween the two with no war at all.

    Emoji Movie 9/10

Passengers. 7.5/10. I was going to give it an 8 but I'm not sure it would be that good if I watched it again. I'm not sure what I would do if I were alone on a ship with 5000 people and had 90 years to go. I would probably wake someone up too.

I hear it's pretty much a huge product placement ad. My rating was not serious, which I know is not cool being that we're in the Serious Business forum.

I caught that one a few years back and, yeah, it was good. I enjoyed it a lot; great portrayal of a guy who was both charismatic and disturbing.

Has everything I enjoy in a good summer flick: great driving, killer music, good actors, decent plot, and bank heists.
Ending could have been better, but was a fun flick.

I saw this last night and agree with both these posts. I thought the ending was fine. Was disappointed with what happened but it all worked out. Jamie Fox had so many great lines. The soundtrack is definitely the best will probably end up buying it here soon.
