I don't think it's funny or strange. You attempted to defuse or exit the situation. Lets say Im 5'8 150 (pretty real lol), and the guy I attack is 6'4 250. After I realize im about to get my ass beat, I run away. Whilst running, he hits me. IF i then shoot him, under Stand My Ground, I have a valid affirmative defense. -
