I thought the same thing, but was called an asshole for assuming so. That'll teach me. -

Brunch, in my opinion, is an activity that pretentious douche bags partake in. GTFO with your cute little word. Oh my god...you combined breakfast and lunch, how creative!LJ;1526804 wrote:I didnt really know what brunch was. Ive heard of people going to "brunch" but never knew what it entailed.
Also, Me?, considering you have a beard and drive a Duramax, you clearly are a redneck. -
AutomatikDon't forget the unlimited booze....a key component to a solid brunch. I always take my parents to brunch when they visit. Pinkies up bitches!!

Me?
Haha, far from it! Though I love my truck, I only have it because of work. Not because I need to keep up with the redneck lifestyle. I'd prefer to drive a CTS or something, and it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than my truck.Pick6;1526865 wrote: Also, Me?, considering you have a beard and drive a Duramax, you clearly are a redneck. -

Wait people actually have a problem wth brunch? I rarely ever get brunch but when I do it's because it's late morning and I just woke up so ill get breakfast food even though it's almost lunch time. And drinks of course.Pick6;1526865 wrote:Brunch, in my opinion, is an activity that pretentious douche bags partake in. GTFO with your cute little word. I've never been to a meal that was called "brunch".ernest_t_bass;1526818 wrote:I'm sure you had a pretty good idea of what brunch is. Who doesn't know what brunch is? -

Plenty of yuppies here. I'm just not into the yuppie thing.Automatik;1526820 wrote:Because Pickerington?
Brunch is on the come up in Cbus. -
AutomatikIt's not a yuppie thing. It's an eating and drinking thing. You're over-thinking it.

Exactly. It's breakfast, but only later. Or, if you want to look at it another way, it's lunch, but only earlier.Automatik;1526946 wrote:It's not a yuppie thing. It's an eating and drinking thing. You're over-thinking it. -
AutomatikBrunch is also usually at a prix fixe and a smaller menu. This is not some new "yuppie" concept.

LJ
Yuppies aren't new either. I've never gone to a "brunch". The only people I see going to brunch are the snotty girls that I am Facebook friends with.Automatik;1526948 wrote:Brunch is also usually at a prix fixe and a smaller menu. This is not some new "yuppie" concept. -
AutomatikI used to go to "Sunday brunch" with my grandmother after church when I was a kid.
Hope this helps. -

So if I go to Bob Evans at 11:00am and order steak and eggs, I just went to brunch? Is this what you are saying?Automatik;1526953 wrote:I used to go to "Sunday brunch" with my grandmother after church when I was a kid.

It's just a fucking term for the meal.LJ;1526956 wrote:So if I go to Bob Evans at 11:00am and order steak and eggs, I just went to brunch? Is this what you are saying?
It doesn't make you a hipster or a yuppie, it's just some stupid saying for getting breakfast food closer to lunch time. -

Did you miss the part I said about prix fixe?LJ;1526956 wrote:So if I go to Bob Evans at 11:00am and order steak and eggs, I just went to brunch? Is this what you are saying?
That's involved in brunch. Now if your steak and eggs was on a smaller brunch menu, usually offered from like 10am-3pm, with a fixed price AND served with a bloody mary or other early day alcoholic beverage...then...YES.
Hoping this continues to help. -

I seem to be getting conflicting info here, so no, it does not help.Automatik;1526961 wrote:Did you miss the part I said about prix fixe?

AutomatikI'm sorry you're having such a hard time with this.
I suggest Wikipedia or Google.
Good luck! -

But anyway...fuck hipsters. -
