I thought the same thing, but was called an asshole for assuming so. That'll teach me.

Brunch, in my opinion, is an activity that pretentious douche bags partake in. GTFO with your cute little word. Oh my god...you combined breakfast and lunch, how creative!

Also, Me?, considering you have a beard and drive a Duramax, you clearly are a redneck.

Don't forget the unlimited booze....a key component to a solid brunch. I always take my parents to brunch when they visit. Pinkies up bitches!!
  • Me?

Haha, far from it! Though I love my truck, I only have it because of work. Not because I need to keep up with the redneck lifestyle. I'd prefer to drive a CTS or something, and it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than my truck.

Wait people actually have a problem wth brunch? I rarely ever get brunch but when I do it's because it's late morning and I just woke up so ill get breakfast food even though it's almost lunch time. And drinks of course.

I never knew brunch meant alcohol.

I've never been to a meal that was called "brunch".

Brunch is on the come up in Cbus.
Plenty of yuppies here. I'm just not into the yuppie thing.
  • Automatik
It's not a yuppie thing. It's an eating and drinking thing. You're over-thinking it.

Exactly. It's breakfast, but only later. Or, if you want to look at it another way, it's lunch, but only earlier.

Brunch is also usually at a prix fixe and a smaller menu. This is not some new "yuppie" concept.

Yuppies aren't new either. I've never gone to a "brunch". The only people I see going to brunch are the snotty girls that I am Facebook friends with.

I used to go to "Sunday brunch" with my grandmother after church when I was a kid.

    Hope this helps.

So if I go to Bob Evans at 11:00am and order steak and eggs, I just went to brunch? Is this what you are saying?

It's just a fucking term for the meal.

It doesn't make you a hipster or a yuppie, it's just some stupid saying for getting breakfast food closer to lunch time.

Did you miss the part I said about prix fixe?

That's involved in brunch. Now if your steak and eggs was on a smaller brunch menu, usually offered from like 10am-3pm, with a fixed price AND served with a bloody mary or other early day alcoholic beverage...then...YES.

    Hoping this continues to help.

I seem to be getting conflicting info here, so no, it does not help.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with this.

    I suggest Wikipedia or Google.

    Good luck!

I don't even know how hipsters and brunch got brought up in the same thread.

    But anyway...fuck hipsters.

Sure you have, you just refused to acknowledge it as such.
