New iPhones
-
AutomatikMine going now, says it will take 29 min. I'm surprised. iOS was a bitch to get on the day of release.
-
RotinajApparently I have it downloaded but then a verifying update screen pops up then says update is unavailable at this time. Dumb.
-
like_thatI like the update.
-
AutomatikI had a hell of a time freeing up 3gigs of space. Does it take up THAT much or is it just required for the install?
-
justincredible
After the install I actually had more free space.Automatik;1503139 wrote:I had a hell of a time freeing up 3gigs of space. Does it take up THAT much or is it just required for the install? -

Mine did that too. Took about 5 attempts before it finally went.Rotinaj;1503137 wrote:Apparently I have it downloaded but then a verifying update screen pops up then says update is unavailable at this time. Dumb.
It's going to take some getting used to.
Just required. It's not that big.Automatik;1503139 wrote:Does it take up THAT much or is it just required for the install? -
Fred GarvinIt took about an hour total, including download and install. And I agree with Ted, it will take some getting used to.
-
AutomatikIt's a bit laggy on my 4S, but I'm liking it so far.

bases_loadedIt's legit

ernest_t_bassNot bad. Pointless for my 4s, as I'll be getting 5c Friday. Not bad, though.
-
Pick6just checked my phone and it says my software is up to date with 6.1.3
Is iOS7 being released for the 4? -
Automatik4 and up if I'm not mistaken.

End of Line
Same here. 4s for me.Pick6;1503300 wrote:just checked my phone and it says my software is up to date with 6.1.3

Then on Itunes for my Mac, it's telling me I need to download Itunes 11.0.5 even though I already have it. -
rydawg5What strikes me as funny is there is a $100 bump for jumping in Gigabytes for the new phones. So a 5S turns into a $399 with 2 year contract for a "whopping" 64 GBs.
So are gigabytes expensive again? Or is Apple just pretending it's 2004? -
TedShecklerI have a 4, not 4S and it's running fine on mine. Looking forward to buying a 5S on Friday though.

just checked my usage and i only use 5.8. Have music and all that on it as well. What is the memory even needed for?rydawg5;1503328 wrote:What strikes me as funny is there is a $100 bump for jumping in Gigabytes for the new phones. Automatik16 is too small for me, 32 would be perfect.
I keep a lot of music on mine, all 320 kbps. Then you factor in your apps...it adds up. -

I understand the need for space but when did space become so expensive.. Like I said this isn't 2004.Automatik;1503345 wrote:16 is too small for me, 32 would be perfect.

But isn't apple trying to force people into "cloud" usage? I know that seems to be the way everyone else is headingAutomatik;1503345 wrote:16 is too small for me, 32 would be perfect.

SportsAndLadyHow do you check the usage you've used up so far?
Yes, I am a retard when it comes to phones, technology, etc.
