tk421read the comments on a huffington post article about the tornadoes, wish I hadn't. Lot of people glorifying in the tradegy because of the religion of the area. Bunch of idiots.
-
SportsAndLadySaid 4-6 grade all kids are accounted for. K-3 that part of the school was flattened and the kids were only in a hallway. They're searching under the rubble for them. Wow
-
SportsAndLadyThat previous post was according to something i saw on twitter by the way. So not sure if 1% true

I have literally no idea. Was just going through Twitter and saw that tweet. I haven't paid much attention to this. -

ts1227Preliminary rating of "at least EF4" from the NWS. They'll look closer tomorrow and determine max wind.
Death toll at 37 right now.
Conflicting information on the students, Weather Channel saying all alive, KFOR saying 7 died (drowned, as you all mentioned) -
ts1227Make that 51
-
WebFireCrazy and sad.
-
gutWorst part is they are saying some of those kids drowned. As if it could be even more awful.

I haven't been watching long enough. How did they drown? Underground shelter that flooded? That seems unlikely to me. Direct rainwater? Seem unlikely as well.gut;1445686 wrote:Worst part is they are saying some of those kids drowned. As if it could be even more awful. -

You fail to see how water could get in a ditch in the middle of a storm?WebFire;1445689 wrote:I haven't been watching long enough. How did they drown? Underground shelter that flooded? That seems unlikely to me. Direct rainwater? Seem unlikely as well. -
AutomatikWow. I've been disconnected all day and just trying to coast through work.
The overhead flyover is insane, like something out of a movie.
My question is this, how is it possible for a school to NOT have a suitable shelter in TORNADO FUCKING ALLEY!? -

Why would school kids be laying in a ditch? Fucking smart ass.SportsAndLady;1445691 wrote:You fail to see how water could get in a ditch in the middle of a storm? -
Laley23Not to make light of this situation...but holy shit. L.O.L.
This shirt actually made it on CNN.

I read somewhere that they thought water tables prevented a basement from being built. Derp, build the school somewhere else, right?Automatik;1445692 wrote:Wow. I've been disconnected all day and just trying to coast through work.

Are you serious? Lmao there was a 2 mile wide tornado...how do you think people (kids) were lying in ditches?WebFire;1445694 wrote:Why would school kids be laying in a ditch? Fucking smart ass. -

You wouldn't normally expect the school to be built on the low ground, but who knows how the tornado rearranges things. I'd assume the debris they were buried under allowed rain water to collect faster than it was able to drain.WebFire;1445694 wrote:Why would school kids be laying in a ditch? ****ing smart ass.
