MIT Shooting/Bombing Suspect Manhunt - Suspect 1: DEAD, Suspect 2: In Custody

In the end I guess we will find out if this was a pure crazy doing it on their own, or a religious terrorist attack. However, you are being a bit naive to think it probably has nothing to do with religion, when the older brother had been investigated by the FBI previously.

    The fact that it took a random civilian finding a trail of blood leading to the boat parked behind his house to apprehend the most famous wanted person in the world just goes to demonstrate how far off the trail authorities really were. They had no idea where this guy was and probably never would have found him had he not been injured and immobilized. Amazing considering all the "confirmations" we heard earlier in the day of where this kid was.

    What I found most fascinating is that these guys decided to stick around Boston. I couldn't figure it out. They seemingly had no exit plan nor financial backing to get out of the city. After hearing reports that Suspect No. 2 went back to his dorm room and was seen in classes around campus goes to tell you that they never thought they'd get caught. That is staggering to me. They thought they got away with it. Can you imagine their surprise when they saw their photos on TV?

    How did the house with the boat esacpe the house to house search? The boat was actually in the driveway in plain view from the street but back towards the garage. Does seem that authorities kinda missed that one.

    I mean, when you take verses out of context, and pick and choose which verses to read, it is easy to see why somebody would believe that. One of the most important things Muslims/those studying the Qur'an are taught is that they should not pick and choose the verses they read, but read the full chapter in context so that they full understand the historical significance of the revelation.

    For the record, I never said it had nothing to do with religion. There is probably a good chance it does, but it is because of extremists taking the Qur'an out of context, much like Westerners do.

    The Bible advocates death to nonbelievers, doesnt it?

    That's what I want to know as well. The owners of that house and nearby neighbors have already voiced their anger over their block of the street not being checked. If the suspect had not been weak and bleeding out, he easily could have walked into that house of 10 people and killed every single one of them.

    It's clear that the Boston police are totally incompetent. Prior to the FBI taking control of the manhunt, we basically had hundreds of Paul Blarts running around the city trying to find Rambo. And even the FBI couldn't locate this guy. I mean, at one point, they had tactical snipers and army tanks surrounding the home of an elderly couple.

    I'm really glad they got him alive, though. Being that he's the younger, likely more impressionable brother of an extremist who -- I believe -- may have brainwashed his younger sibling into helping commit these acts, we might learn a lot. Eventually, I think he'll talk.

    I'm just stating the obvious. Their trail was dead cold. That's certainly not what we were being told, however. Although, that's mostly the media's fault.

    They did the best they could do, I'm sure. I am not criticizing their effort. In the end, with any manhunt, you need some breakthroughs and a little luck. Fortunately, that's what happened here.

    I never thought of it that way. Boston is really an easy place to do a house-to-house search.

    Anyway, I think it's easy to question something like this. But they had to draw a perimeter somewhere, or else the search area would have been too large to be effective. And once he made it out of that area, the likeliness of finding him decreased dramatically.

    This house was just outside of their perimeter. They claim he wasn't there very long, but how do they know that if they never searched there? I think he was either there for awhile (he was injured from the night before), or he was nearby the whole time. Keep in mind, the suspect didn't have the luxury of watching TV to know where that perimeter was. He could have been out of it the whole time.

    So how do we fix the problem of the real USA Americans, genius? You know...the DC Sniper, the LA cop killer, the dude trying to poison our President and Senators, the guy shooting up movie theaters, the guy shooting up an elementary school full of kids, OKC bombings, the anthrax attacks, etc.

    You catch them and prosecute them or kill them just as we have done with each example you cited. But we don't need thousands of of other possible radicals in the mix too. Sheeesh some of you are dense.

    It being personal doesn't make it ok first of all. Pretty sure it's personal to those Jihadist as well. But the fact is those people make up a minute fraction of the population the same way the crazy Americans make up a tiny percentage of the population.     God I really hate conspiracy theorists, and sorry if this was already posted (on my phone and don't want to go back through all of this), but has anyone seen the Glenn Beck clip? He's straight up calling out Obama and the government, telling them to come clean on the cover-up/inside job by Monday or he has documented proof and will expose them.

    I don't listen to beck, but my general feeling of him is that he's a pretty smart guy who doesn't pass along theories.
