A raffle for who gets to light the match could pay off the national debt.

I prefer the one where the indians tied the bottom of your intestine to a pole, made you run around it till you fell down, then set you on fire.

Interesting to see peoples reactions when our citizens are killed/attacked. I wonder if Americans are the only ones that feel this way?

(That's from The 13th Warrior, which has a big Norse Funeral scene. I suspect you haven't seen the movie. Go rent it now)

Why not just drone all U.S. Citizens suspected of homicide?

This made me lol. Especially "Yeah ok". Like it would be insane to let a picture like that slide.

Well if you would only use a little common sense. ;)

Hasn't he been a citizen for less than a year? Hasn't LJ posted about how naturalization can be revoked? Why the fuck are you comparing this guy to other citizens?

Not a Game of Thrones fan?

The actual picture is from Hoster Tully's funeral

But come on, who doesn't know what a Norse funeral is?
Prolly the same people who don't know that a fire at a fertilzer plant may cause an explosion :p

This. One of the biggest insults in the old world. The pyre was traditionally ignited by throwing a burning shoe at the victim.

Naturalized Citizenship can be revoked by a judge but all of that requires due process. His rights don't just disappear like GoChiefs is suggesting and if the Obama administration were to treat him as an enemy combatant at the outset they are asking for problems when it looks like it is open and shut if he's treated as a citizen and tried as a criminal.

The fact that he has only been a naturalized citizen for "less than a year" is irrelevant.

I agree. It's easy to be emotional and want the guy to fry but we can't give up his rights without sacrificing our own.

what do you mean? just because we are offended and mad we cant sink as low as the terrorists themselves and do what they'd do! But its justified.. just like they feel when their emotions are high and think that using terror is the only way to solve their vendetta against us.

I think we should take the high road too and comply with what thousands have died for to keep it that way.

When you try to compare those two, that's the only reply that's necessary.

I don't disagree with you at all. If they were to say fuck you about his rights, I'm not going to be mad though.

I wonder if the FBI will let us see the video of them dropping the backpacks now. Yesterday they said they had it but couldn't let the public see it. I'm sure it'd be submitted as evidence for the court?

Why? The definition of terrorism is so broad under the Patriot Act that it includes "activities that are dangerous to human life and violate the criminal laws of the United States or any state."

So, any time a naturalized citizen/non-natural born citizen is suspected of violating a criminal law that amounts to such we should ignore the rights that were imbued upon him or her under the Constitution when they became naturalized citizens???

Their citizenship and the rights that go with it are revoked by fiat without a trial??
