By beautiful, you mean junk. I'm all for being penalized for being out of the fairway, but their rough is ridiculous.karen lotz;1434519 wrote:Beautiful track -

But you go back because it's so flipping easy. Fairgreens is much nicer and cheaper through the week. -

Where is there any rough at Franklin? That guy must've passed away....he mowed it everyday until it dies.
Course is easy....no excuses to be out of the 70's. -
se-alumWhen was the last time you were there? The rough is really high.

340 yard par 4's.....keep it in the fairway
I'm a summer only golfer and have been most of my life. What hole does the rough give you trouble? -

ZWICK 4 PREZMy new driver shows it was delivered today. Now if I hit it close to what the Trackman says I did, I'll be happy. Not holding my breath though.

what'd you get? you play ping drivers if I remember correctly? -
Classyposter58I've kind of slacked off hitting balls lately cause of school. Damn exams are messin up my golf game! But should be a great week to play definitely and my sched will be more open after tomorrow.
Also the real little Augusta is Catawba Island Club out there by Port Clinton. An absolutely beautiful, 6300 yard course, Arthur Hills design, greens are about 12 speed. Seriously I shot an 84 there senior year of high school (+13) and finished 9th out of 144. I was 3 man and no one else in my group finished under 90. Here is a pic of #5 which is 520 from the blues

lhslep134I'll be hitting up the TPC Scottsdale next week (think 16th party hole par 3), it'll be my first time there I'm pretty stoked.
This weekend I'm playing at Dove Mountain where they play the WGC Match Play. It's only about a 35 minute drive from my house and I can get on for ~$60 since I know someone who works there. Such a challenging course if you can't keep the driver straight, the desert creeps in to about 5-15 yards off the fairway/first cut of rough. -

I played 54 holes there this weekend and the rough wasn't bad at all.se-alum;1434651 wrote:When was the last time you were there? The rough is really high. -

TiernanPlayed North Star in Delaware Cnty yesterday for the first time...not a $62 golf course. I'd play it again for under $40 but don't waste your money unless your getting a discount deal somehow.

se-alumPlayed Big Beaver Creek in Piketon yesterday. It was like a 5 hour easter egg hunt. Nearly impossible to find your ball amidst all the weeds and dandelions. Nice course when they have it in good shape, but it was terrible yesterday.

Played there about 10 years ago....shot a 78....was happy and haven't played there since. I do like the course.
