They said in the Dispatch the other day that they have something like 85% of the bigger store's inventory because they placed the mounts strategically to give them more floor space for product.

IMO, one of the most beautiful modern handguns.

I should have pulled the trigger years ago and bought one.

Private owner needing money. I still cant believe I got it that cheap. He still had the receipt from when he bought it.

I put in a special order (with a 25% deposit) on an sr9c back on Feb 8th. The guys said it would probably take 2 weeks to get in. Fast forward to this weekend and it still wasn't in more than 2 months later so I went in to the shop and cancelled the order. Now I am trying to figure out if I want to stick with finding an sr9c or if I should go with something else. The shops around here seem to be pretty low on stock across the board and unfortunately none of the guns I seem to be interested are in stock anywhere to handle to see if I like the size/weight.

Have you looked at the Springfield XD-S? It's about the same size, but it's a .45 rather than a 9mm. Or even the XD subcompact. It's a .40.

I actually have been eyeing it. I saw an add for it online the other day after canceling my order. Nice looking gun and I know Springfield is a quality mfgr. What is the price difference between 9mm and .45 rounds in general?

One of the local shops had an XD40SC as of yesterday but it looks like it has sold. I thought about checking it out this week but too late for that.

XDS 9mm is on my list. I already have a .40 (SR40C) I carry. You'll get more rounds in the 9mm, and it will do the job fine if needed. Lots of debate on both sides of the 9mm vs .40 vs .45. Your head will spin trying to analyze it.

It's like Chevy vs. Ford or Mac vs IBM.

I am looking for a 9mm or .40 cal in the $300 range (im poor). Any suggestions on what to get or where to look? Going to a gun show in Akron this weekend.
When you're broke and in undergrad, a handgun is the best investment you can make. /sarcasm

    I carry a Sig P220 .45 big really big

I bought my wife a Sig P238 .380 smaller that a 9MM but not as small as .22

Very small weapon but really nice to carry ... I liked it so much I bought one for myself to carry

I now switch between the .45 and the .380 depending what I'm doing and where I'm going.

Buy what you like but don't buy cheap...

Cheap range .45 can be had for $20/50 compared to $15/50 in 9mm.

Have you also looked at the Glock 26?

I carry a Sig C3 1911 Compact. It's still big, but you get the right IWB holster and I forget it's there. I recommend my Theis Holster.

Ahh, that's not too bad of a difference.

I haven't looked much at Glock's in general.

Off-topic, but not really. I found out a few weeks ago that my grandma is getting her ccw/chl/whatever. Like a boss.

Glocks are solid guns. One of the most reliable there is.

Didn't know they sold guns to minors anyway.

I have been looking to get into purchasing a glock myself.
