To answer your question about the B1G, yes, unless one of the other schools adds a D1 program (not likely in the near future). Closest would probably be Indiana, Illinois and Rutgers (all of which have club teams), but that is a huge investment for an athletics program to make. Now, that said, the B1G could add an affiliate program - they added Johns Hopkins as an affiliate for lacrosse - but it's pretty unlikely. -
