  Have you been doing any scouting or getting your stands put up yet? The buck I keep seeing is not very big hoping there is a bigger one out there. Anyone else ready for the season to start?

  I got out a few times when my dad was getting better. Saw 3 bucks the night before he died. Ominous. 1 old 10 and 2 younger 8s. All together. Thought of me dad and my brother hunting when i was a kid. Dad died like 8 hrs later.

  We just got a new 900 acre tract outside of Athens to hunt , Weve been getting it prepped the last month. Been getting some nice Bucks on cam from the property in Morgan and Licking Co. Cant wait for season to start

  Do you rent hunting ground or just get permission? Here in champaign county where I live a lot of the farmers are going to hunting contracts with hunting groups. I have lost close to 2000 acres of prime hunting ground cause of one guy.

  I&#8217;m not a hunter of game. As a kid in the country where my grandparents lived we hunted pheasant, geese, ducks and rabbit I enjoyed it but never really took to hunting much. </SPAN>

  We dont rent/lease any hunting land, I just know lots of People who have land and give us excusive hunting rights to their property Soe of the property it just Me and My Brother hunting, The other I can pick n choose Who I want to hunt

  I have a pse but its an old one hardly ever use it. I have a bear(everything is wore off on it dont really know any more then that its a bear brand) I bought when I was 18 and for some reason I absolutely love it. I know its cheap and the pse is way better but for some reason I am comfortable with it. It shoots good and has treated me right. I have a horton hunter crossbow for sitting fence rows.

  That is how I am about my bear. It dont look pretty but its been reliable and had no problems with it in the twenty years that I have owned it.

  I have a hoyt ultratec. But it dressed out to the 9's. I changed the sight out last year lost some accuracy but its peepless so i did gain 10 fps. I'm not ready to attribute the accuracy to the sight yet, i haven't shot it nearly as much as i liked.
  
  Carbon express arrows, and for heads if you have ever used a swhacker, you'll never use anything else.
  
  I also bought a TC icon .30-06. Haven't got it out to shoot past 100 yds to test the BDC scope for accuracy but at 100 it shoots just right for sights set at 250 yds so I think its on.

  I dont bow hunt, just never got into it. I prefer shotgun season and "driving" the deer. Unfortunately finals week always runs during shotgun season. So I can only go during the last 2 days and the extra weekend in mid December. Hit up muzzle loader season usually as well.

  This is me, as well -- minus the academic reasoning.
  
  I never do anything with bows. Just shotgun and sometimes muzzle loader. Looking forward to it. I do have to work my way back in it though, I went out last year for the first time in 8 years and just could not sit still. My patience is pretty thin. I enjoyed being out, but man...it was tough to wait. The clock moved ever-so-slowly.

  Ive tried them , They dont shoot good out of My crossbow, Plus Im Muzzy all the way!!!

  I agree, but its just not something I can get into. I miss the days where I was young enough to youth hunt. It was always a pretty prime rut time.

  My daughter is 11, this will be her 4th year for Youth season. Her first year She got a Nice Doe, The following Year She Connected on a Nice 8pt. Last year She didnt do to well, We only got to hunt the opening morning because of the flu
