Anyone can troll a website, but it takes talent to troll a whole town

    LOL

    EZ.
6 days he rested on the 7th. But the Big Bang Theory probably makes sense to you.

Can we get some proof a man rose from the dead? And why hasn't this happened more?

    EZ.
I don't think anyone has claimed they could prove that. Your logic fails you once again.

Actually the Big Bang theory has never been proven, so while I think its a decent theory, I don't base my life on it.

So is faith good enough to base your entire life on? I mean you go to church every Sunday, you peddle beliefs that have never and will never be proven, and you actually drink the kool-aid and believe its real. Why Christianity/Catholicism? It's likely because your parents believed in the same thing. There are people half way around the world that believe just as much as you that Islam is correct, or Judiasm is correct, or Scientology, Hindiuism, Paganism, etc. is correct. Not just a theory, but actually believe its reality.

Faith is a cop out bullshit argument. How can you not see you are being exploited by the church(read: cult) for influence and money? It's fairly obvious from my perspective, and I have a unique one because I was indoctrinated by my parents into Catholicism and I have "seen the light" and realized what a crock of shit the whole thing is. How can someone as intelligent as you still believe in fairy tales?

That's what I don't get. I don't understand it. I mean I could see the average idiot realizing how lame and boring their life is, and bad things that happen to them, and they want some form of security that "god is in control, and god has a plan for me, etc." It's delusional as hell, but it gets people by, people that are irrelevant on a global scale. What are you afraid of?

    1. Local community colleges don't give PhDs in astrophysics.

Dr. David Menton got a PhD in biology from Brown.
Dr. Tom Mitchell got his medical degree from Vanderbilt.
Dr. Georgia Purdom got her PhD in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University.
Dr. John Baumgartner got his PhD in geophysics from UCLA.
Dr. John Chittick got his PhD in physical chemistry from Oregon State.
Dr. David Dewitt got his PhD in neuroscience from Case Western Reserve.
Dr. Andrew Snelling got his PhD in geology from the University of Sydney In Australia.

I could go on showing that you don't understand the basics of a google search but I believe I have proven my point.

Any chance you still want to challenge these guys/gals credentials?

sleeper, there are times when people are perceived as ignorant, and then there are times when someone opens their mouth and all doubt is removed. Thank you for validating the latter

I'm not going to challenge their credentials, but I will challenge their true intentions at AiG. They are simply doing what they need to do to earn a paycheck for their family. AiG is probably a well funded group and they probably pay good money to try to use faux science to prove their unproveable theories.

Curious, is there a link to their research? I'd be interested in seeing how me, a person with a limited background in astrophysics, could absolutely shed their research with simple logic games.

Nah. She got her advanced degree and then, because of being a Buckeye, decided to join this group/organization/whatever for the sole purpose of leading on the foolish people with their less valid degrees from non-OSU schools...until the right moment, when she proves everything they've been working for their entire lives is a sham.

Many of them are fully employed elsewhere and act as guest speakers and produce related scientific articles/research papers in conjunction with AiG. Only a few of them are full time AiG employees.

There you go, just keep moving the goal posts, it shows your lack of a logical response. You get proven wrong and then come up with another excuse.

So you saying that a well educated, PhD scientist, would write erroneous, ill-conceived (in your opinion), scientific publications simply for financial reasons?

Its funny, but on this very site when I suggested that as a possible reason why so many man made global warming scientists publish questionable science, I was ridiculed. I was chastized for not believing they had "scientific integrity".

I 100% believe that many scientists in all areas can be biased by where their paychecks come from and I have said this for a long time. However, that goes both ways, it also applies to those writing man made global warming publications, those writing evolutionary biology papers, those writing combustion research papers, etc.

To believe that scientific publications today are 100% genuine and have zero bias, aka they are just seeking out 'the truth' just shows a lack of understanding about how scientific research is funded/paid for in this time period.

I don't see how I'm moving the goal posts anymore than you.

Prove your religion is correct. 100% correct. LOL I win every time jmog, you see how easy that is? How does it feel?

They do when they are working to prove something that can never and will never be proven. They most certainly are just doing it for a paycheck.

Like I said, I'd be curious to see their research. I bet its top notch and NASA would publish it in its journal.

sleeper, you just keep making yourself look more and more foolish--please, cut your losses and go play with your 'intellectual peers' on that other site
  • sleeper
I'd also like to see peer-reviewed academic research verified by a non-religious scientific institution proving that it's possible to hold 2 of every species(There are at least 3 million species) on the planet on a single boat, with their food, water, etc, out of their natural habitat, without eating each other(or fucking each other) for 40 days.

    This'll be good.

Really? Me being foolish? Yeah I'm the one who talks to an invisible man and actually tries to prove a supernatural being in a fiction novel is real and I'm the foolish one.

Also, I poked around on AiG's site and it included a lot of biblical references as "evidence".

Seriously, jmog are you actually convinced these people are actually peddling around for something other than a paycheck? It's EZ money. "Oh look, women were created from the Ribs of man(Genisis 4:14), that's incredible. God really is a powerful person." EZ.

That'll never happen. Even if I'm banned, unless its for 60+ years until I die, I will always be here, and you can take that to the bank.
