  That might be a stretch. They quickly removed the first DA, so little doubt in my mind she was brought in because, with her aggressive reputation, she was just what the doctor ordered to appease political and public pressure.

  There's no reason there wasn't a thorough investigation launched right away (which to my understanding there wasn't) by the police. That there wasn't one probably means we won't know what really happened and that at this point it's sort of unlikely for Zimmerman to be convicted even if he should be (which I don't know).
  
  That is the disgusting part about this. That an unarmed kid was shot to death and there wasn't an investigation immediately is the ridiculous thing. Not that a black kid was killed by a white guy or anything else. That an unarmed kid was shot and there wasn't an investigation. That should never happen regardless of the races or whatever involved. If someone is shot and there isn't video or a shit load of witnesses who clearly saw what happened (and even if there is) there needs to immediately be an investigation.

  so let me get this straight. zimmerman was on "night duty" he saw trayvon walking around with his hoody on. he became susicious, approached trayvon, who then took off running. and then shot him?

  The only explanation is that she's trying to spook him to plead out to a lesser charge, so she can insure he's convicted of something.

  i believe the detective assigned to the case recommended homocide or something. however the prosecutor or whoever stated there wasnt enough evidence.

  i read zimmerman was going to the grocery store or something when he saw martin. then my understanding is he called 911, got out of his car, followed martin, was told by 911 to stop following him, zimmerman turned around and as he was returning to his car he was confronted by martin, fight ensued, zimmerman shot martin.

  I'm not sure he was actually told to stop following him - the transcript I read said something like "We don't need you to do that" (regarding the following). Then again I haven't read the entire transcript and the media has shown us they can't be trusted with respect to facts on this case.

  You're right, its completely different, a halfrican is the president and now there is a sense of "its our time". If zimmerman doesn't get the DP there will be riots...if he dies, there will be riots.
