If by "showing" you mean bashing then yeah that's what you're doing. Also nice generalization. I love my iPhone, but this "sheep" would never buy a Mac. Can't stand em. IMO iOS is much cleaner, professional, and easier to use. I have nothing against the android "sheep" though. To each their own.

About 80% of fortune 500 companies are using iPhones and 50% of those companies are using iPads.

There is a reason why the iPhone is the best selling smartphone in the world, it probably helps that it's also captured over 70% of Japans market as well.

Hahahaha. First you start off saying "must be an awfully impressive phone when this is your only argument (that has nothing to do with the phone, but is a commentary on cloud service). You're corrected, then come off with the predictable "well you've obviously never used an IPhone", along with the prequisite Android ignorance, get corrected again, and now I will correct you one more time.

Android phones have been slow to get updates, but the funny part is IOS is just now getting features Android had two years ago (and last year you got folders, lol, also standard since the Droid launch if not sooner). Almost every Android phone is running Froyo, and a good number have gotten the most recent updates. Some of the older phones won't have the hardware to run the coming OS, again because Android is so much more demanding than IOS because it has much more functionality and customizability.

Non-issue with the new phones because of all the ram, even then you can put the apps on the SD card so space is not the issue and bloatware doesn't "slow" down a phone - out of sight out of mind, so I'm not sure what is so "frustrating" about it, other than you parroting another trivial fanboy argument. They don't do anything if you don't use them. Businesses, as has been pointed out, use them because the IPhone has been around longer, and it's only one device to support. Nevermind that IPhone share has been flat while Android has doubled IOS in two years - mostly coming at the expense of BB and Nokia, so it seems people who have had smartphones are upgrading to Android, because it IS more functional. That is simply not a debate, inspite of your best effort to create strawmen to make it one. IOS may seem easier to use, and it may seem to run better, all because it's functionality is more limited. Nothing to debate there.

Has anyone preordered from Sprint?

A few weeks ago I checked my status for an upgrade and I had $75 off my next phone w/ a contract extension. I just checked again and I now have no upgrade discount and I can get the 4S for a cool $650 or wait 200ish days. I think I'll wait. I don't know what the deal is.

These Android vs iPhone debates are hilarious. How do people not realize both sides sound damn near identical? :laugh:

Worth a shot. Also worth a shot to see if VZW won't bend their rules giving you unlimited since you had it with Sprint.

I'm on wifi most of the time, so I rarely go over 1 gig of data. But when I get a new phone with LTE, that may change. And who knows, unlimited data seems like something to hang on to. Although nothing to prevent companies from taking it away from you grandfathered or not.

Zero chance I'd switch to Verizon.

I'd just be threatening to jump ship to see if they would let me upgrade. It worked about a year ago when I cracked my screen. I threatened to leave for the iPhone because the cheapest phone I could purchase was more than the termination fee itself. They were really cool about it, gave me a Blackberry for $50.

I am up for an upgrade when the Nexus Prime releases. I have had the Incredible since launch....so will I have to change to a capped data plan if I upgrade to a 4g phone?

From my understanding it only pertains to new verizon customers. All the old ones are grandfathered in.

I downloaded the iTunes 10.5 update, but it's telling me that my current iOS version is up-to-date.

I focused on the handful of new features unique to the 4S, notably the new voice-controlled artificial-intelligence system called Siri; a brilliant new camera for stills and videos; and faster, 4G-class download speeds. The iPhone is now available from Sprint, AT&T and Verizon, but I tested the AT&T version, because it is the only one which offers the faster download speeds.

The standout feature, not available in other iPhones, or in any other phone I’ve seen, is Siri. It answers questions and provides information using natural language and an intelligent understanding, not just of words, but of context and colloquial phrasing. It isn’t perfect, and is labeled a beta, but it has great potential and worked pretty well for me, despite some glitches.

Despite Siri, the iPhone 4S isn’t a dramatic game-changer like some previous iPhones. Some new features are catch-ups to competitors. I sense Apple chose to focus more on software and cloud service than on hardware. But, in my tests, the iPhone 4S performed very well. It’s a better iPhone for the same $199 entry price, at a time when some competitors are pricing their flagship smartphones starting at $299.
