I really didn't like 30 minutes or less. It had a few funny parts, but danny mcbride was just a complete dick. He plays the dick part well usually...but I just could not stand his character this time.

Danny McBride is funny, but only for like 20, maybe 30, minutes. After that, his act just becomes played out. He's a much better supporting actor than a lead actor.

Based on the previews I expected 30 Minutes to be decent but I really didn't figure it would be that great. I may even skip it now. Scarlet, I liked him as the lead in Your Highness but I can see what you mean. I like him in East Bound and Down but that is only 30 minutes at a time.

I may go check out Change Up again though.

I enjoyed 30 Minutes or Less. It wasn't great but I found it entertaining. Probably a B- or C. It was worth my $4.

    (1) Your Highness, from what I heard, was downright AWFUL

    (2) Like I said, he's funny in 20-30 minutes segments/spurts.

Where are you going that movies are $4?

For the last several Mondays, my buddies and I have been going to Shaker Square Cinemas and watching any movie for $5. That's only on Mondays tho.

Your Highness was an awful movie but there were certainly funny parts.

It's 4 bones for matinees where I go and 4 bones all day on Tuesday. Most of the theaters in my vicinity have lowered their prices.

So I just saw a preview for Conan and for some reason they are pronouncing it Conen instead of Conan. Wtf.
  • OSH
The Bluffton, Ohio movie theatre is only $3 and $6 for 3D.

You also get Shirley's popcorn there!

I just read they are shooting for the Avengers in Sandusky right now. That is tight.

I thought 30 Minutes or Less was hilarious.

Yeah it was a good movie

Well when I checked earlier Conan had only made 10 million so that isn't a good sign.
  • bigdaddy2003
I'm going to check out Fright Night in a little bit. Only made 8.3 million this past weekend. That is laughable but even the critics that Yahoo gave it a B so I'm intrigued now.

Well checked out Fright Night and it wasn't great at all. Colin Farrell was the only upside. The original was much better. Also went to see Final Destination 5 and left 30 minutes in.

I was suprised by all the positive reviews of Fright Night. Previews made it look pretty bad IMO.

I concur about the critics. Was shocked to see it received an average grade of "B" by the big name critics. A few of them talked about how it was well done for a horror movie but it wasn't very good. Have you ever seen the original?

I have seen it, but it was long time ago. Don't really call any specifics from the movie.

Not a great movie by any means but a bit better than this one. They replaced Roddy McDowell's character with a younger guy who did nothing but drink and cuss a lot. Even with the campy dialogue in the original it came up a bit better but remakes are hardly ever as good the original.

Went to check out Don't Be Afraid of The Dark and I understand why it only made like 8 mil this weekend.

I just got back from My Idiot Brother

One of the funnier movies I've seen in quite some time. I was dying.

Note: I love Paul Rudd, so don't take this post as "Hangover" funny...I just personally really liked it.

Agreed....I thought it was very good. Paul Rudd was great in it.
