I like it a lot. I'm sure there are some who aren't crazy about it though.

Had some Devil's Cut, then Jim Beam Rye, now some Jack Honey.

I've tried the Jack Honey, and I'm not too big on it. Too sweet for my taste. I could only handle one drink of it.

Jumping all over the flavor spectrum.

    Same here.

I've had this bottle of Tennessee Honey for a while and haven't really felt like drinking it so it has just collected dust on top of the fridge. I just may down it now since the Bucks lost.

That's not what you said on the first page of this thread.

    Don't be.
Do you drink it straight or do you make a drink with it?

    Straight.

That is probably how I will probably drink mine.

I don't dislike it. It's just too sweet to do more than a shot or so. And I think when I commented on the first page I had just picked up a bottle. Now I've had a chance for a better review of it.

Also said my 1st choice was Crown, and that isn't true now either. Been going more towards the bourbons. My whiskey knowledge and tastes have been evolving. My first bourbon choice right now it Maker's Mark or Buffalo Trace.

That's cool. Just happened to go back to the first page and saw that you agreed with someone who referred to it as "spectacular." That was about 9 months ago though. It's understandable that your tastes have changed since then. I still love it though. I won't even shoot it. Tastes too good to me. Gotta sip that shit.

Agree there. By shot I didn't really mean shoot it. Should have used a different word there. It's definitely a sipper. Have you tried any other honeys?

No, I haven't. The only other one I know about is the Wild Turkey which I've heard is pretty damn good but I haven't tried it yet.

Those last two are my staples. I also like Eagle Rare, another solid Kentucky bourbon.

Crown is ok, I like it, but I usually stick with the Kentucky bourbons.

Other ones I like in the middle range:
    Knob Creek
    Bulleit
    Baker's

All have some good flavor and can be mixed or drank neat.
On the high end, Blaton's and Bookers are my favorites. Woodford is a little overhyped. It is good, but I'd rather have some Baker's or Maker's or Knob.

Good to know about Woodford. It's on my list to buy.

Oban 14-year ... neat. A fantastic Scotch for a night cap without breaking the bank.

Jack should always be "sipped" and enjoyed to the fullest. JD Honey is great, though I still prefer the original. I have a bottle of each, though the JD is getting pretty low.

Jack Old No. 7 is what I use for mixed drinks. If I'm sippin', it ain't gonna be Jack.

What are you guys favorite liquors by type? Vodka? Bourbon? Whiskey? Tequila? Rum? Scotch?
  • WebFire
Whiskey/whisky is about all I drink.
  • bigdaddy2003
I've never really cared for regular vodka. I have consumed quite a bit of cherry vodka in my day though. I've only had a little bit of tequila and I think it's alright but I'm not huge on it. I've also only had a tiny bit of scotch and thought it was alright too. I really like whiskey and rum. I have consumed a lot of Jack, Crown, Southern Comfort, and Captain. I keep seeing Kraken rum advertised. I may pick up a bottle the next time I drink. I've also drank a lot of Jager but I really have no clue what to classify it as.
