Yea some friends and I have been talking about this for a couple years. It would be really sweet if there was some organized tour of them all with a place to stay in the middle. Its definitely a 2 day trip, but i'm not sure any of us want to chug burbon and drive and repeat all day. Then repeat the next day.
Definitely going to hit up in the next year or so as soon as I figure out the logistics.

Had a Bud light lime a Rita after golf today. Not sure how I feel about them, 8% alcohol. Could probably get fucked up pretty quickly on them. Anyone else try it?

Fiance bought them a few weeks ago, I had a couple sips. Not my type of drink at all, but not bad for what it is

Yeah would have been better if I had already had a few beers. Not so great as a first drink.

Haven't busted it open yet but I will be having some Jackalope Gin from Peach Street Distillers. It a small little distillery in Palisade Colorado and we brought a large bottle. We also brought back a bottle of Grappa made there. Never tried it before until we sampled it there on Saturday. Same alcohol percentage as the Gin.

I should add I'm not a big fan of Gin, but I'll drink this stuff straight as it's that good.

As Kiss once said...It's cold gin time again !!!

    Gin time and it's on.

What did it taste like? I've had a beergarita, where we just took BL and mixed it with frozen limeade.

For me, now, killing some Cupcake Malbec wine.

Grappa. It smells similar to Cognac and has a kick to it, but has a very nice finish. Never really had it before tonight except for a small sample at the distillery. My stomach is warm now. Not sure what to follow it with.

My brother in law finished his level 3 CFA exam yesterday. We decided to celebrate, but we don't have muh alcohol at home, so we were scrounging. We ended up downing ouza, followed by a bottle of midori, followed by shots of rum. Terrible idea all-around.

If you were planning on going that hard why not just make a run?

Well, we weren't really planning on it. One thing led to another. Bad idea. We thought it was going to be a pretty relaxed evening with the four of us (Mrs. FFT and and her bro/sis in law) hanging out, playing cards. But we started with a drink to celebrate, and one thing led to another. Lesson learned.

Completely understandable. I've been there, one thing leads to another and next thing you know anything in the house with alcohol in it is fair game.

I'm currently working a rotation of Paramount Dry Gin and Svedka Vodka. Not exactly top shelf but when coupled with tonic water, squirt and lime ... not bad at all.

What's the best thing to mix with vodka? I'm not talking about blending, but mixing as a mix drink? Everything I mix my vodka with tastes like shit.

For you? some kind of pills.

Cranberry, orange, grapefruit juices for others.

Drinking some vodka and cranberry now.

Cranberry is easily my favorite vodka drink. Looking for more common things that people keep in the house. I don't keep any of the three mentioned. My favorite vodka drink is a White Russian, but those are fattening, and I'm pushing 400 lbs.

I've never had cranberry and vodka. You don't keep orange juice in your house? Grey goose and grapefruit juice is probably my favorite vodka drink.

Also, have you tried my pills suggestion?

Karen, your "pills" suggestion is easily considered trolling...

I reported both of you for being off topic.

Vodka and tomato juice is pretty good too.

The pills comment got a warning...back on topic.

Vodka has to be mixed with juice or soda water or tonic. It doesn't taste good with any type of pop imo.
