Beer snob discussion thread

Fosters "Christmas Down Under" is one of the best spiced seasonal brews around. I believe the release date is Saturday.

Does it come in an oil can?

I'd ignore them because they are clearly trolling.

I like the Breckenridge Christmas ale and 21st Amendment Fireside Chat.

Fireside Chat is one of my favorite canned beers (if not my favorite). I may have to try Breckenridge.

Honey Brown is probably my favorite craft beer, amirite?

    Southern Tier's Old Man Winter
    Weyerbacher Winter Ale
    New Holland Cabin Fever
    Bell's Winter White

Personally, I am a fan of Barleywines in the winter, too. For that, I like Lagunita's Brown Shugga.

Have never had this one. I'll have to change that this winter.

    Hibernation ale

Not a "Christmas" beer but I'm a big fan of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.

Good luck at stopping drinking it. I put a lot back for our Christmas in July party.

I actually saw a bit of that in March in the sale cart at Total Wine. All of their X-Mas bombers were like 40-60% off, I should have pulled the trigger on some.

Yeah. Winter/Spring is the time to buy Pumking!

Had lucky bastard last night. I remember liking this a lot more back in 2012. Super hoppy, really sugary.
  • O-Trap
Had Pumking on the CEO's tab today. The sweetness and spice are less pronounced than in the past. I liked it.

So you noticed it too. I am opposite, though, as I prefer teh spice.

I like beers to taste less like they lean on other ingredients. It's a personal taste thing.

The exception might be their Creme Brulee Stout.
