Elite 8: (1) Duke vs. (3) Baylor

explain how Duke can have that many offensive rebounds if they are "shooting the lights out"ccrunner609 wrote: Keep playing that zone morons,, Duke has 22 offensive rebounds and is shooting lights out. -
Cleveland BuckDunn is killing Baylor.
-
burt07I love how every Duke call is "The worst call in the history of the world." Give me a break guys. In the end it was probably a bad call but it's not as if it was egregious.
-
NonThomas for the slam
nobody boxed out
Duke has rebounded well offensively -
devil1197That is a foul on that dunk?
-
mhs95_06That was basket interference on Duke before the dunk. Should have disallowed the goal!
-
centralbucksfanGame over...Baylor lost composure and started to force things now. Since that BAD charge call...its been downhill.

When it creates a huge momentum swing in an Elite 8 game, taking a 4 point lead to a deficit within possessions, yes its a huge call.burt07 wrote: I love how every Duke call is "The worst call in the history of the world." I am no horse in this game, but every basketball fan will know that play changed the game. Baylor would have had a four point lead, Z out for Duke, and at the line to push it to 5. -
Cleveland BuckWhen faced with the pressure of the moment and Duke getting 'Duke' calls, Baylor fell apart.
-
JU-ICEBallgame, the Dukies move on to Indy.
-
NonI don't hate Duke but that was a cheat on the Zoubek charge.
Baylor was going up two possessions and that ref knew on a close play he was going Duke's way regardless.
You have to call that stuff out for what is is and not stick up for the refs. -

That charge was a 6 point turnaround, it definitely changed the ENTIRE complexion of this game.burt07 wrote: I love how every Duke call is "The worst call in the history of the world." Give me a break guys. In the end it was probably a bad call but it's not as if it was egregious.
Baylor was up by 2 or 3? at the time and should have had the And-1.. Instead, the basket was waived and Duke came down and hit a 3. -
mallymal614I hope people who viewed this game and the Ohio State/Tennessee game realize the importance of REBOUNDING. That is the least appreciated thing in basketball.

What about the Duke thug who threw his elbow?ccrunner609 wrote: Baylor thug should of got a T for that shove. -

Huh? If a team is shooting the lights out, that typically doesn't mean there are at least 22 offensive rebound opportunities.ccrunner609 wrote:karen lotz wrote:

Thats the stat that CBS put up -
SQ_CraziesLOL @ Scheyer flailing around like a douche bag when he wasn't even getting held.

Im not complaining abotu every call. But that last one was AWFUL!burt07 wrote: I love how every Duke call is "The worst call in the history of the world." Give me a break guys. In the end it was probably a bad call but it's not as if it was egregious.
You cant pick up a charge unless you have established legal guarding position. Its like the first thing said in the freaking rule book. Second, you cant establish legal guarding position unless you are facing them with both feet and your chest. Sorry, but that was one of the WORST charge calls ive ever seen and when you look at the point in the game that it happened, it was huge. -
hoops23lol, Jon Scheyer is a bitch.

UP 2, with chance to go up 5 with little over 2 min to go. That call was huge, no question about it. And it wasn't that close....thats the issue. Some charges are questionable...this one wasn't. -
burt07I get the call was a game changer, I said in the end it was a bad call. But the whole thinking that the call was made because it was Duke is beyond ridiculous. Every game has game changing calls. EVERY GAME. People are acting like it was called just because it was Duke. I'm sorry, just the whole conspiracy theory about Duke getting calls is played out.

Wait.. You call standing there waiting for him as stepping in at the very last second as the guy was already rising up?ccrunner609 wrote:
The guy came from the corner at least 4 steps and Zoubek was there waiting for him. Charge everytime when a guy fly's in like that.Non wrote: I don't hate Duke but that was a cheat on the Zoubek charge.

no, read a rule book. Zoubek never established legal guarding position and he CERTAINLY didnt maintain it. That was a terrible call.ccrunner609 wrote:

NonBaylor is going to lose.
Don't act like thugs these last few minutes.
You've done your program proud and are on the rise, don't get a blackeye now. -
karen lotzare you kidding me? Refs didn't see scheyer throw the elbow when they looked at the replay?
-
hoops23Man, the refs gave Duke this one. Baylor had Duke reeling and the refs said "NO WAY!"...
