I think it's still a relevant comparison because that was all we heard about in 02. Miami has too much speed. Blah, blah, blah. Ohio State is the worst team to ever play in the championship game. Blah, blah, blah. They're too slow. Blah, blah, blah.goosebumps wrote: ^^^^ Really? Its college football. There is nobody left on either team who played in 2002. You can't even make that comparison.
The huddler who mentioned Wisconsin is right on the money lol. How do you expect to beat OSU when you got beat by WISKY? -
Soda PopinskiTake this garbage to the thread already started for the game.

Probably a lost cause. If he doesn't go to USC he'll probably head to South Beach and DA U. -
Ankle Breaker
I realize that. Point being > we heard that same line in 2002. OSU is just as fast as that game except at WR. We heard the same thing just recently vs. Oregon. It gets old.goosebumps wrote: ^^^^ Really? Its college football. There is nobody left on either team who played in 2002. You can't even make that comparison.

wkfanBack to the topic....when is the USC hearing and when will Henderson sign on the dotted line...somewhere??
-
gorocks99USC hearing started today (I think) and I also think they won't know their fate (whether it's over, or there's another investigation) for another 6 weeks or so. My guess is Hendo holds out as long as he can but will have to make a decision before the USC stuff is resolved.
-
OneBuckeye^ Hearing starts today, verdict may take past April 1 signing deadline to be reached. If things look real ugly for USC Henderson will sign with OSU. Time will tell.

Is this a sure thing that he will sign with OSU if USC gets hammered?OneBuckeye wrote: ^ Hearing starts today, verdict may take past April 1 signing deadline to be reached. If things look real ugly for USC Henderson will sign with OSU. Time will tell. -
ytownfootballquite a lengthy laundry list of violations...

He said OSU was in second when he verballed... also OSU and Miami are the only schools still in contact.Quint wrote:

centralbucksfanPer an aquaintence of someone on the OSU coaching staff...some of the coaches were NOT too upset when Henderson picked USC....they didn't/don't want to deal with DAD. Who knows if he will ever end up at OSU (I doubt it), but as mentioned, some of coaches were not too upset about him choosing USC.
-
darbypitcher22wow... some crazy, crazy stuff there in the Bush investigation... if the the NCAA can prove all of this they need to bring the hammer down on USC
-
jordo212000
Great stuff.
-
gamauterThis is all without looking at OJ and other athletes they are investigating.
-
darbypitcher22^^^^
so what you're saying is we could potentially see a "Lack of Insitutional Control" ruling against USC?
Wait, it can't be? The NCAA will NEVER bring the hammer down on somebody again like they did SMU -
TinkertrainThe option of the Death Penalty was put on the table for Alabama a few years back but not used. If the NCAA does anything to USC it will be in the form of scholorship reduction's and several years probation. They will never invoke the death penalty again.

sleeperThrow that hammer down.

jordo212000USC is about to get hit pretty hard. One thing you might not notice unless you look at the evidence Yahoo Sports has, is that Frostee Rucker (another USC guy) shows up in the documents a few times. I didn't do my research, but if he was still in school that could hurt them too.

I would tend to agree with your statement. My brother-in-law lives in LA. and he said the general feeling out there is that SC is going to get hit pretty hard.jordo212000 wrote: USC is about to get hit pretty hard. Yeah I know Rucker is a Bengal. I am a Bengals fan. Just like Reggie Bush is a Saint. I was wondering if Rucker was still at USC when all of this was going on. (That would mean that USC could be in even more toruble)spartan wrote:

I'm no expert on NCAA infractions, but what Bush did just seems ridiculous. He made a complete mockery of the rules. He got a car, ran up a $600 hotel bill and charged it to somebody else, got a house, it just goes on and on.ghosthunter wrote: I would tend to agree with your statement.
