College Football Playoff Thread

OK has a slightly better great win than Clemson in handily beating Ohio St in Columbus vs Clemson beating Auburn

OK slightly better good wins in handily beating TCU and won at OK St vs Clemson’s wins against NC St and VT

Committee making up the difference and then some by saying Clemson’s wins over Louisville, GT and Boston College far outweighed OK winning against K State, Texas and Texas Tech

Plus OK looking more dominant of late and Clemson playing poorly against FSU

It doesn’t matter but I️ don’t understand it at all

    That's why this...

    1. Win out, preferably with decisive wins over Michigan and Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game.
    2. Oklahoma wins out.
    3. Alabama wins out, leaving Auburn or Georgia with at least two losses and no league title.
    4. Miami wins out, leaving Clemson with at least two losses and no league title.

Just saw David Pollack on College Football Live arguing that a two loss Clemson would get in over a two loss B1G Champion Ohio State. I guess he thinks wins over Auburn, Va Tech, and NC State far outweigh wins against Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

He also says that the committee sees Clemson as having 0.5 losses since Bryant was playing hurt and then was knocked out of the game when Clemson lost to Syracuse.

    Didn't everyone already say that?

Pollack is a douche. That guy hates the Big Ten. He said last week if auburn wins out they’ll be the #1 seed in the CFP. Give me a break.

    Syracuse sucks.

Top 8-9 should remain the same.

Although I could see Oklahoma and Miami flip-flopping.

OSU and ND should flip flop too. ND was losing in the third quarter and came down to the wire against a 20 point underdog service academy.

Notre Dame didn't get blown the fuck out against Iowa, either.

They got blown the fuck out vs Miami lol

But remember, the committee doesn’t get too caught up on your losses. And they also dont like “weak” wins. They’re not afraid to drop teams for barely winning.

That was already considered. Add in this week’s stuff and they could flip flop

I don't disagree and I actually had my original post say something to that extent.

And I keep thinking they have 1 loss, not 2. So yeah, this is probably the week OSU jumps them.

    Undefeated Miami.

I wouldnt complain if they got jumped, but don't kid yourselves if the tables were turned this site would have a conniption.

OSU's resume is much better now than ND's. So no, we wouldn't we having a fit. Just like we aren't having a fit that Auburn is ahead of us with 2 losses.

You're the one who's bias is showing. ND just struggled to beat Navy, and a week before that just got absolutely destroyed by Miami. They deserve to drop.

Ohio State shouldn't be in the playoffs. Sorry we lost to 6-5 Iowa by 31

Maybe they beat #4 and undefeated Wisconsin by 31....

Well here we go. Have to believe that not too much will change.
  • wildcats20
Aww that's cute, the committee gives Clemson another ranked win.
  • wildcats20
Mississippi State BARELY beats Arkansas and jumps 2 spots. Sure.
  • wildcats20
No jump for OSU. Little surprising, but not too unexpected.
  • wildcats20
    Miami jumps Clemson.
  • ironman02
I like how Kirby Hocutt never truly answers a single fucking question that he's ever asked. Why the hell do they even interview him?
  • SportsAndLady
How is Georgia, at 10-1 and their one loss over #2 Miami, behind two-loss auburn? Such horseshit

And don’t get me started on ND being ahead of OSU
