Azubuike24With Fox out with injury, Monk was incredible, again. 30 in the second half.

When he gets hot, he's unstoppable. 47 against Carolina still boggles my mind.Azubuike24;1838734 wrote:With Fox out with injury, Monk was incredible, again. 30 in the second half. -
wildcats20Iowa State beats Baylor. Miami beats Duke. Michigan beats Purdue.

wildcats20Carolina will be the 1 seed in the ACC tournament.

With the overall strength of the conference this year, it's pretty impressive that Carolina has clinched the #1 seed already and is sitting at 13-3. Hopefully they're peaking at the right time. They've only lost once with Pinson in the lineup this year, and that's when Hicks was out against Duke. At full strength, they can be really good, especially when they commit to playing defense. I honestly doubted whether they could do this after losing Paige and Johnson to graduation, so I'm interested to see what they can do the next few weeks.wildcats20;1838742 wrote:Carolina will be the 1 seed in the ACC tournament. -
sportswizuhrdDown goes Gonzaga 79-71. The Zags started the game on a 16-2 game run(this is when I stopped watching) and were up by 6 at halftime.

ironman02North Carolina playing like pure garbage in Charlottesville.
12 turnovers in the 1st half, only down 28-23 because UVA is terrible. -
wildcats20So ugly. And brutally hard to watch.
-
ironman02Hicks is a fouling machine. He has not come close to the player I thought he would be this season.
-
ironman0239 points in 35 minutes of play for a team that averages 86 PPG. Awesome.

ironman0253-43. Quite possibly the worst game of basketball I have ever watched in my entire life.

wildcats20Northwestern with a little March Magic last night. Hell of a finish.

I just saw that play. If you're going to essentially clinch your way into the tournament for the first time ever, might as well do it with style.wildcats20;1839433 wrote:Northwestern with a little March Magic last night. Hell of a finish. -
wildcats20And lost in the shuffle of me doing nothing last night, Wake beat Louisville. Somehow missed that.

Pretty surprised by that one. If Louisville beats Notre Dame Saturday afternoon, Carolina will clinch the outright ACC regular season title before they even play Duke. Could take a little pressure off if that happens prior to the showdown Saturday night.wildcats20;1839442 wrote:And lost in the shuffle of me doing nothing last night, Wake beat Louisville. I fully expect a loss by Carolina. After that shit show in Virginia, I have no confidence.ironman02;1839546 wrote:Pretty surprised by that one. Also, you should get in on the pick em for the tournament. -
Azubuike24I think it's the opposite. I fully expect Carolina to come out and play one of their best games.

Classyposter58Love the comments by Mick Cronin about the NCAA tournament today. For anyone that didn't see it he basically said it's all money driven and the matchups are set to sell tickets, that's why certain teams may get bumped up or down a seed to make it happen. Believe that happened last year or the year before with IU/UK, no way in hell was UK a 4 yet they wanted that matchup
-
Azubuike24UK won the SEC regular season and beat A&M in the SEC final...but A&M got a 3 and UK a 4. The NCAA refuted what Cronin said though.

Azubuike24First big conference tournament upset as 22-5, 15-1 Belmont loses in the Ohio Valley. Belmont shot only 8/38 from three.

friendfromlowryOne of my favorite weeks of the year with the conference tourneys this week leading up to selection Sunday.
