Is it that stacked of a draft? I'm not so sure it is.Azubuike24;1836791 wrote:Stacked draft. 9 or 10 of this year's prospects would've been arguably top 3 last year. -
wildcats20Northwestern beats Wisky in Madison. Pretty much guaranteeing their ticket to the dance.

Nice win. I agree, they are inwildcats20;1836810 wrote:Northwestern beats Wisky in Madison. Pretty much guaranteeing their ticket to the dance. -
ironman02VT beat UVA tonight. Winning on the road in the ACC this year is tough.
Could potentially see 9 teams from the conference in the big dance. -
wildcats20Lol a 2OT game was 80-78.
-
Laley239??? I've seen writers who think if it's not 11, it's a joke. I'd say 9 is a lock.

Azubuike24It's so stacked that guys like Monk and Tatum might not even go in the top 6-8. Between the 4 PG's (Fultz, Ball, Fox, Smith), Jonathan Isaac and Josh Jackson, that's probably your top 6. After that, Tatum, Monk, Leaf, Markkanen, Rabb, Giles and I know there's a foreign guy in there too.
Compare that to the trash last year like Buddy Hield and Kris Dunn who went 5th and 6th? Crappy, no upside college upperclassman? -
Heretic
And showing Wisky was really determined to prove people wrong after not being a top-4 seed, especially considering NW didn't have their top scorer in action.wildcats20;1836810 wrote:Northwestern beats Wisky in Madison. Pretty much guaranteeing their ticket to the dance. -

I'd say Carolina, Virginia, Florida State, Louisville, Duke, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Miami, Virginia Tech are the 9 that are currently IN.Laley23;1836894 wrote:9??? I've seen writers who think if it's not 11, it's a joke. I'd say 9 is a lock.
Georgia Tech has some good wins, but they're 15-10 overall. Wake is also 15-10. Not sure that either of them would get in unless they finish strong. -
ironman02I guess Lunardi currently has Clemson in a play-in game as the 10th rep from the ACC. They're 3-9 in conference, so I can't see that one happening.

Just look around. The B1G has like 4 teams in...MW 1, WCC 2, A-10 WAY down, etc etc etc. There are some teams who will be 10 seedsnthat don't sniff the tournament 3 years ago. Usually solid kid major leagues are 1-2 bids this year. The aforementioned B1G is gonna be won by an unranked team possibly. Just some bad bad teams out there.ironman02;1836976 wrote:I guess Lunardi currently has Clemson in a play-in game as the 10th rep from the ACC. Azubuike24Clemson won't get in because they will lose at least 3, maybe 4 more games. At Miami, at Va. Tech, vs FSU, ACC Tournament. So say they finish 4-4, winning 3 of their last 6 and going 1-1 in the ACC Tourney, they finish 17-15. They have one win over a guaranteed NCAA team (South Carolina). Lunardi gone crazy.

I do agree with this. We are used to teams needing to be like 20-12, 19-13, etc...to be considered, but we're going to see quite a few teams who are in the 18-14, 17-15 range being considered this year. Especially if the mid-majors take care of their tournaments.Laley23;1836982 wrote:Just look around. Classyposter58Agree on that point, the Big 10 is really down this season. I do think Purdue at Maryland was the best game so far this year but this one at KU is damn entertaining tonight

Classyposter58What a finish to that half! WVU is awesome to watch when they bring their A game and that finish to the half was incredible. Gonna have to finish watching this at work sadly

Agree that some of the conferences are very weak, and we'll most likely see some teams get in that normally would be on the outside. However, if Clemson ends up at 6-12 (3-9 right now) in conference play, I just don't see the committee rewarding that. Yes, the ACC is the toughest conference in the country, so that might allow them to give a team like Clemson the benefit of the doubt, but I kinda doubt it if they're only winning 33% of their conference games.Laley23;1836982 wrote:Just look around. That said, I hope as many teams as possible get in from the ACC. If Clemson, GT, or Wake win some big games down the stretch, then maybe you'll be right and we'll see 10+. -
Ironman92Uh....maybe, maybe set a screen to get open. Coaches are so vanilla in getting players open on inbounds plays...how about a unique formation?
-
Ironman92Hey WVU....throwing the ball to KU under their own basket while trying to break a press....not a good strategy
-
Ironman92Why didn't the WVU player save it towards their end?
Just silly stuff happening. -
Ironman92I hope Kansas wins by 25 in OT
-
Ironman92And the KU fans that left lol

It's almost like this moment when they started to leave, lit a fire under their ass and started the comeback.Ironman92;1837081 wrote:And the KU fans that left lol -
ironman02Up 14 with under 3 minutes to go and they lost? That takes some effort.

We'll call it the "Falcon Effect"
