Exactly. Plus the juco announced him as a QB, not WR. Maybe his heart/head is still telling him he's a QB.

Good point, then go D2 Or NAIA. Schollys to be had at that level.

Donovan Peoples-Jones make his college decision tonight at 8:30PM on ESPN. He's a 5* WR from Detroit.

It has been rumored that he is a lock for TTUN and has been recruiting for them behind the scenes, but just recently, word "leaked" that he's actually choosing between OSU and FSU. That could be true, but it seems more like mastermind Harbaugh has orchestrated this to look like a huge recruiting victory over Urban. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I would guess that DPJ picks UM tonight.

Urban, Coombs, and Smith did make a visit to Detroit last week during a snowstorm before the recruiting dead period began, but it doesn't look like it was enough to sway him away from that nut job in Ann Arbor.

When asked about Torrance Gibson today, Urban said that nothing had been finalized yet. Maybe there's still a chance that he sticks around.

Let's talk about the future of the QB spot within the next few years. There's going to be a MASSIVE logjam with some really good QB's (hopefully). Next year you'll likely have JT back. Stephen Collier (RS Soph) was fighting for backup with Joe Burrow (RS Soph) who looked pretty good in limited time. Throw in Dwayne Haskins (RS Fresh) who Urban has said looks really good and will likely push for the backup spot next year. Just read an article tonight about how good he's looked playing the Deshaun Watson role on Scout team and throwing deep to Victor. Then you'll have the reigning Gatorade National Player of the year in Tate Martell on campus too, the #1 rated dual-threat QB. Finished high school undefeated and had 40 passing and 21 rushing TD's his SR year against some legit competition....oh and 1 pick. He'll likely RS. Then in 2018 you'll have #1 overall QB in that class, 5* Emory Jones.
Just an absolute embarrassment of riches. I would be really surprised if by 2018 all of those guys (minus JT) are still at OSU.

But, will OSU have a good right tackle to protect them?

Yes. In the form of Josh Myers.

DPJ picked Michigan. Harbaugh is becoming notorious for "leaking" inaccurate to drum up excitement and increase the media coverage of his recruiting victories.

Rashan Gary with Clemson last year, DPJ with OSU this year, and possibly Isaiah Wilson with UGA today. Guys who are locks that suddenly may go elsewhere, and then pick Michigan because it was their choice all along. So insecure.

What exactly do you want a link to? Message board chatter? I'll be sure to provide links to several recruiting analysts, etc. the next time.

Glad that the talk about Wilson was actually true.

someone can't be notorious for doing something, as you stated, unless there is documented evidence of it

Okay, let's defend Harbaugh because you wanna pick at me.

Do you really think there's gonna be documented evidence that Harbaugh is manufacturing recruiting "wins" to increase excitement around his program? How closely do you follow recruiting? How closely did you follow the recruitment of Rashan Gary and DPJ?

Harbaugh hired a high school coach from Rashan Gary's school on his staff at Michigan to help get Gary to Ann Arbor. Gary committing to Michigan was considered a lock by basically every major recruiting analyst in the country, but about a week before his announcement, there was a lot of buzz being reported by trusted sources of these analysts that Gary was going to Clemson instead. It turned out not to be true, and the recruiting analysts suspected that either Gary was intentionally misleading people to add drama to his announcement, or that Harbaugh and his staff had orchestrated it. Same exact thing happened with DPJ this past week.

Michigan's coaching staff was tweeting out cryptic messages about Najee Harris (who may flip from Bama to UM), DPJ, and Isaiah Wilson this week. It turned out that Wilson really did pick UGA after being rumored to favor Michigan for almost two years. He was getting a lot of pressure from his high school coaches and family to go to UGA for some reason, even though he's from New York, I believe.

Basically, most of the major sources in national recruiting think that Harbaugh and his staff are manufacturing drama to favor them. Is it proven? Of course it isn't 100% certain. Harbaugh is way smarter than to be blatantly obvious about. It was my opinion that the same thing might happen with Wilson (which is why I said "possibly" in my original post), but thankfully it didn't. My bad for being wrong this time. Harbaugh is going around accusing other coaches of lying to recruits, but it seems like he's doing just as much shady stuff as any coach in the country. However, I won't speculate about it anymore on here since I don't have concrete sources. I forgot that Ohio Chatter was a major journalistic hub, and not just a message board.

Great Post!!! Please keep sharing your thoughts. I for one enjoy them and love seeing other peoples take on some of what is going on in the recruiting area. Reps.

I follow recruiting quite a bit and have noticed what you are talking about. For a few weeks prior to DPJ's announcement he was talking to Harris on multiple occasions about coming to Michigan. Anyone that thought DPJ was going anywhere but Michigan was just a jive turkey. With social media they can put out misinformation pretty easy.

Shaun Wade wins USA Today National Defensive Player of the Year, today Martell named USA Today Offensive Player of the Year. Pretty impressive.

Here's your crazy Stat of the day. An Orange Bowl win will give Michigan it's 7th 11-win season since 1905...OSU has 11 since 2002

My gf's parents will be out there. They are big OSU fans...but he is also a Clemson grad, so he doesn't lose. They were at the Fiesta last year and had the time of their lives.

Went to Dallas for the championship game few years back. Might go to Tampa this year if OSU wins, but can't make the semi game work. Sucks cuz I'll be in Phoenix in a few weeks for a bachelors party.
