se-alumI like that OSU is bringing in some bigger receivers. Victor will need to add some strength, but has the frame for it.

If we are good enough to have that many kids come out early, the program is in good shape.vball10set;1776232 wrote:Am I the only one the least bit concerned that teams like Alabama and LSU have as many as 6-10 underclassman that are not only draft eligible, but are talented enough to be drafted, every year, but only a few actually enter the draft? I keep telling myself that it's a testament to the talent that we had 9 players declare (which it is), but I can't help but think that the atmosphere of the locker room this past season gave these guys a nudge. Hope this doesn't become a pattern. -

SportsAndLadyGreat day for the Bucks

Midstate01Spent way way way too much time on 11w, bucknuts, and twitter today.
Pretty awesome day for the buckeyes.
Browns would kill to have the size of receivers osu has... hopefully they're going to soon! -
TiernanHelluva Day Urbie. 2017 thru 19 are going to be phenomenal years. We just gotta get thru 2016 without going 8-4 and playing in the Motel 6 Bowl.

Benny The JetThere's talk that the plan is once JT leaves to try and change the offense into more of a pro style system using haskins and the big receivers to make it more balanced

slingshot4everAny other big names we are waiting on from a commit standpoint? I do not follow recruiting all that closely....

Rashard Lawrence 5* DT is down to OSU & LSU, but considered a virtual lock for LSU. Best chances seem to be Mecole Hardman 5* ATH and Damar Hamlin 4* CB.slingshot4ever;1776638 wrote:Any other big names we are waiting on from a commit standpoint? I do not follow recruiting all that closely....

Mike Vrabel is interviewing for the San Fransisco 49ers defensive coordinator job today.
Edit...
Of course when I first saw this I thought it was Fick lol. -
se-alumSounds like the expectation is that Corey Smith will get a 6th year.

Did we pull an offer from a recruit because of this?se-alum;1778090 wrote:Sounds like the expectation is that Corey Smith will get a 6th year.

No just means we won't be able to offer one to someone else. Which is likely why Bruce will not be given the go ahead to commit and thus will stay with his Miami commitment.FatHobbit;1778120 wrote:Did we pull an offer from a recruit because of this? -
Benny The JetSeems like Bruce would be a great fit at OSU...a true H-Back/slot type...extremely fast and quick 4*. But, I'll obviously trust in what Urban decides to do.

Ok thanks. I wasn't quite sure what they meant when they said there wasn't room for him now.Midstate01;1778130 wrote:No just means we won't be able to offer one to someone else. Which is likely why Bruce will not be given the go ahead to commit and thus will stay with his Miami commitment. -

I didn't think it was that many starters. We return Barrett, Elflein and Price on offense. Raekwon and Conley on defense. I may be missing some others. I thought we return 6 starters though and plenty of players that go PT.HighRoller74;1775404 wrote:Playing Oklahoma, at Oklahoma this year will be very interesting.
The fact that we are replacing 19 starters is gonna be interesting. If OSU makes the playoffs, this could be Urban's best coaching job....including Last season (2014).
I think the locker room is fine. What reason would any of the players that left have for staying another year (except for Marshall, still not sure why he declared)? There is up to 5 projected first rounders out of the players that declared and several others that will go in first four rounds. These guys have accomplished almost everything they could at the collegiate level; might as well go pro now while your stock is as high as it is.vball10set;1776232 wrote:Am I the only one the least bit concerned that teams like Alabama and LSU have as many as 6-10 underclassman that are not only draft eligible, but are talented enough to be drafted, every year, but only a few actually enter the draft? Tyquan Lewis is the other returning starter.dwccrew;1778362 wrote:I didn't think it was that many starters. We return Barrett, Elflein and Price on offense. Raekwon and Conley on defense. I may be missing some others. I thought we return 6 starters though and plenty of players that go PT.
